What it is

The order board is the first screen after you sign in. Orders from your shop page land here. So do orders from pay links (payment links you send to a customer). The board sorts open orders into groups, so you can see what needs you first. New orders show up by themselves.

Find it

  1. Tap Orders in the bar at the bottom. It is the first tab.
The bar at the bottom of the app, with the Orders tab marked.

On a computer, Orders is in the bar on the left.

If the first tab says Home, your shop is a free listing. The order board needs a Storefront. See Free listing and Storefront.

Every setting

The top of the board

At the top right, from left to right, you may see:

  • Collect, if Check receipts at pickup is on. See Hand over pickup orders with Collect.
  • A small QR code button. It opens your shop link and QR code (a square code that a phone camera can read).
  • Open (green) or Paused (grey). Only the owner can tap it to stop new orders for a while. See Pause and restart orders.

Below the top bar, these lines show only when they apply, from top to bottom:

  • "Storefront not live yet" or "Payment under review", when your Storefront is not switched on yet. See Pay your Eveyla bill.
  • "Buyers cannot receive orders yet", for the owner. Tap Fix now to set where you deliver or where customers collect. See Customers can't order.
  • Finish setting up, for the owner, with how many steps are done, like 4/7. Tap it to see what is left. See Your first day: a checklist.
  • "Want a ping for the next order?" with Turn on. Tap the X to hide this line. See Get a ping for every new order. If you are not the owner, see Order alerts for your team.
  • The Today line, for the owner, in Live only. For example: "Today · 3 orders · MVR 450 made · MVR 120 unpaid". The unpaid part is orange. When nothing is unpaid, it says "all paid".
  • "New orders are paused. Buyers can browse but not order." The owner sees Reopen next to it.
  • A giveaway line, while you run a giveaway. See Add tickets and draw a giveaway.

Before your first order

Until your first order comes in, the board shows one card instead of a list.

  • If you have no items yet, it says "First, add what you sell". The owner sees Add items. See Add your first item.
  • If you have items, it says "Your first order will land here". Under it is your shop link, like shop.eveyla.com/yourshop. Tap the link to copy it. The owner also sees Share your link and Place a test order. See Share your shop link and QR code and Place a test order.

Live and Done

Two buttons sit above your orders:

  • Live (picked when you start): open orders. The number is how many.
  • Done: finished and cancelled orders. See Find an old order.

In Live, a green Prep sheet button can show on the right. It shows when orders need to be made or packed. See Use the prep sheet.

In Done, a funnel button on the right lets you show only some orders. It has no words, only a funnel picture (a cone, wide at the top). See Find an old order.

Needs you

Live puts open orders in up to four groups. Each group has a heading in small capital letters and a number. A group with no orders is hidden.

Needs you has a green number. These orders wait for you:

  • new orders to accept
  • orders with a payment slip to check. A payment slip is the photo of a bank transfer.
  • pay links that need you, for example when the customer chose cash, or paid twice
  • credit book payments with a slip. They have a Check slip button. See Ask someone to pay what they owe.

The oldest order is at the top. Grow is your shop assistant in Eveyla. It can check payment slips for you. Then a strip at the top of this group says how many it checked. See Let Grow check payment slips.

Waiting for payment

Waiting for payment has an orange number. It holds pay links you sent that are not paid yet. Each card can show when the link closes, like "Closes in 20 min". It also has a Remind or Copy reminder button. See Follow up on a pay link.

In progress

In progress has a grey number. It holds orders you accepted that are not finished yet. The oldest is at the top.

A thin green bar runs along the top of each card. It fills up as the order moves along. The card also shows its step on the right, like "Preparing" or "Ready to collect".

Later

Later has a grey number. It holds orders you accepted for a later day. The soonest is at the top. The card shows the day and time, like "Mon 6 Oct, 14:00". On that day, the order moves to In progress. See Take orders for later.

Send to rider

A rider is the person who takes orders to customers. Some orders can go out to a rider. Then Send to rider shows in the In progress heading. When In progress is empty, it shows in Needs you or Later. See Send an order out for delivery.

The order card

Each order is a card. From top to bottom:

  • The order number, on the left. A sale from the Counter (the POS tab) shows a till (cash register) picture instead.
  • The customer's name, or "Customer". Next to it, "New customer" for a first order, or "2nd order", "3rd order" and so on.
  • On the right, how long ago it came in: "just now", "5 min", "2h" or "1d". It turns orange with a small stopwatch when the order has waited a long time. A pre-order shows the day it is promised instead, like "by 6 Oct".
  • What they ordered, like "2× Chocolate cake · Large". After two items it says "+3 more".
  • How they get it, like "Pickup at shop", "Ferry to Thinadhoo", or the island and address. Dine-in orders show "Dine-in" and the table. A pay link bill can show "In person" instead. "Doorstep" in green means delivery up to the door.
  • The total, and a few words about money. For example, "paid · transfer", "collect on delivery" or "slip received".
  • On a pay link order, an orange "Pay link" label takes the place of these words. Next to it is how the payment stands, like "Waiting to pay" or "Slip sent". See Follow up on a pay link.
  • A button for the next step, at the bottom right. See Accept an order and move it along.

Some cards show more:

  • a note about the customer, or the note they wrote when they ordered
  • your own note, in a grey box with a pencil. Tap it to read all of it.
  • "From" and a place name, if you keep stock in more than one place
  • a line from Grow about the payment slip
  • a line for a pre-order, a deposit (part of the price paid first) or digital items

To open an order, tap the card, not the button. The order page opens. See Everything on an order page.

All caught up

When nothing is open, Live shows a tick and "All caught up".

  • The owner sees a line like "2 orders done today, MVR 450 made, all paid." Others see "Nothing live right now."
  • Today's orders opens Done. Today's orders are at the top, under Today.
  • How today went is for the owner. It opens Insights. See See how your shop is doing.

On a computer

The list is on the left. The order you click opens on the right. When you arrive, the order that waited longest in Needs you is already open. If Needs you is empty, the oldest open order is open. If no order is open, the right side says "Select an order". Press the up and down arrow keys to move between orders.

Send to rider is always in the bar above your orders.

On a wide computer screen, Live has Board and List at the top right. Board is picked when you start. It shows the four groups as columns side by side. An empty column says "Nothing here". Click a card and the order slides in from the right. Press Esc or click the X to close it. Click List to get the list with the order on the right.

Who can use it

Everyone in your team can use the order board: the owner, senior managers, managers and staff.

Only the owner sees the Today line and the money in "All caught up". The owner also sees Finish setting up, Fix now and Reopen.

The order board needs a Storefront.

Common mistakes

Live says All caught up, or some orders are missing

A choice you picked with the funnel button in Done can stay on in Live. To clear it:

  1. Tap Done.
  2. Tap the funnel button on the right.
  3. Tap All.
  4. Tap the funnel button again.
  5. Tap All time.
  6. Tap Live.

I cannot find an order I accepted

It moved. Accepted orders go to In progress, or to Later if they are for a later day. Finished orders go to Done.

It says "Couldn't load orders"

Check your internet. Then close the app and open it again.

Tip

Work from the top of Needs you down. The order that has waited longest is always first, so no customer waits too long.
