What it is
An order alert is a ping on your phone, like a message notification. It comes for every new order, with the order number, the total and the customer's name. Alerts work only on the phone where you turn them on. Turn them on, on every phone that should ping. To get orders on Telegram too, see Get orders on Telegram.
Find it
- Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
- Under Storefront, tap Order alerts. It says "Push alerts on this device" under it.
A sheet called Order alerts opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.) The first card is for this phone. The second card is for Telegram.
On a computer, Settings is in the bar on the left.
Senior managers, managers and staff do not have Settings. They do this instead:
- Tap your shop name at the top left. The shop menu opens.
- Tap Order alerts on this phone.

On the order board, you may also see a green line: "Want a ping for the next order?". Tap Turn on, and the Order alerts sheet opens. Tap the X to hide the line on this phone.
Every setting
To turn on alerts:
- Tap Turn on order alerts.
- Your phone asks if Eveyla can send notifications. Tap Allow.
The app says "Order alerts on. We'll ping this device for every new order." The card now says "Order alerts are on" and "We'll ping this device the moment a new order arrives."
Never miss an order
This is the card when alerts are off on this phone. It says "Get a push the moment someone orders. Even when Eveyla isn't open." While it works, the button says "Turning on…".
In some browsers, like Chrome on Android, you may also see Add Eveyla to Home Screen. Under it, the card says "Installing keeps you signed in and makes alerts more reliable." Tap it to put Eveyla on your home screen. See Put Eveyla on your home screen.
Get order alerts on iPhone
On iPhone, the card says "iPhone only sends push notifications from apps on your Home Screen."
- Tap Show me how. The sheet closes. A card called Get the Eveyla app opens at the top of Settings.
- Follow its steps to put Eveyla on your home screen.
- Open Eveyla from your home screen.
- Open Order alerts again.
- Tap Turn on order alerts.
Team members on iPhone: put Eveyla on your home screen first. See Put Eveyla on your home screen. Then open Order alerts on this phone again.
Notifications are blocked
The card says "Notifications are blocked. Open browser settings for this site and allow notifications, then come back." It has no button. See the fix in Common mistakes below.
This browser doesn't support push notifications
The card says "Try Chrome or Safari on your phone." Open Eveyla in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone). Then turn on alerts there.
Turn off
When alerts are on, tap Turn off to stop them on this phone. While it works, it says "Turning off…". Then the app says "Order alerts off on this device." Other phones keep their alerts.
If it says "Couldn't turn off alerts. Try again.", tap Turn off again.
What the pings say
A new order ping looks like this:
- the top line, like "New order #12 · MVR 150.00"
- your shop name
- the customer, their island and how they pay, like "Aisha · Hulhumalé · Cash on delivery"
A pre-order is an order for a later day. Its ping starts with "Pre-order #12 · MVR 150.00". It ends with the day and time, like "· for Fri 30 Oct, 14:00".
Tap a new order ping to open your order board.
You also get a ping when a customer uses a pay link you sent them. A payment slip is the photo of a bank transfer. These pings open the order. They look like this:
- "Slip sent · #12 · MVR 150.00": "Aisha sent a transfer slip. Check it and confirm."
- "Cash chosen · #12 · MVR 150.00": "Aisha will pay cash on delivery. Accept the order to start it."
- "Paid late · #12": "Aisha sent a slip after this order closed. Open the order to sort it."
The words change a little for pickup and dine-in orders. See Send a pay link.
Credit book statements ping too. These open your credit book:
- "Statement slip · Aisha": "Aisha sent a slip for their statement. Check it and record what you received."
- "Paid late · Aisha": "Aisha sent a slip after the statement closed. Check your bank before recording it."

If you run a giveaway, you get a ping when it is time to draw. This is for the owner, senior managers and managers. See Add tickets and draw a giveaway.
Phones with alerts on can also get news from Eveyla. The owner's phone also gets messages about the shop's Eveyla plan. See Emails and messages from Eveyla.
Who can use it
Everyone on the team can turn on alerts on their own phone. The owner uses Settings. Senior managers, managers and staff use Order alerts on this phone in the shop menu.
Order alerts need a Storefront. A free listing takes no orders in Eveyla, so it has no order alerts.
Common mistakes
My other phone does not ping
Alerts are only for the phone where you turned them on. Do the steps on each phone.
If you run two shops, turn them on for each shop:
- Tap your shop name at the top left.
- Tap the other shop.
- Open Order alerts again.
- Tap Turn on order alerts.
It says "Notifications were blocked"
Your phone said no to Eveyla's notifications.
- Open your phone's settings for the browser you use for Eveyla. If Eveyla is on your home screen, open the settings for Eveyla.
- Allow notifications.
- Come back to Eveyla.
- Open Order alerts again.
- Tap Turn on order alerts.
It says "Couldn't turn on order alerts. Try again in a moment."
Check that your phone is online. Wait a moment, then tap Turn on order alerts again.
There is no Turn on order alerts button on my iPhone
The card says "Get order alerts on iPhone". Put Eveyla on your home screen first. Follow the steps under Get order alerts on iPhone above.
I can't find Order alerts
Your shop may be a free listing. Then the first tab at the bottom says Home, and there is no Order alerts row. See Free listing and Storefront.
Tip
After you turn on alerts, place a test order. You will see your first ping and know it works. See Place a test order.
