What it is

Your calendar shows every booking. Each person, court or boat has a lane: their own column, side by side. Time runs down the screen, so a long booking is a long block. Use it all day to see who is in now, who comes next, and where a walk-in (a customer who comes in without booking) fits.

Find it

Where your calendar is depends on how your shop started. See What bookings do.

In a shop that started with bookings, the calendar is the first screen after you sign in:

  1. Tap Bookings in the bar at the bottom.
  2. If Calendar is not picked at the top, tap Calendar.
The bar at the bottom of a booking shop, with the Bookings tab marked.

In a shop that sells and added bookings, the order board is the first screen:

  1. Tap Orders in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Tap Calendar at the top.

The switch at the top stays on the side you used last on that phone.

When your plan stops while bookings are still coming, the first tab says Bookings in every shop, with Calendar first. See When your trial ends or your plan stops.

No Calendar at the top? Your shop has not started bookings. See Set up bookings.

On a computer, the tabs are in the bar on the left.

Every setting

Day and Week

Day and Week are at the top right. Day shows one day. Week shows seven days, from the day you are on. Day is picked when you start. Eveyla remembers your choice on that phone.

The title and moving between days

The title at the top left says which day you are on: Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, or a date like "Sat 17 Oct". The line under it gives the date. On today, once your day has started, it also shows the time now, like "Thu 15 Oct · 13:20".

To move:

  • Tap the right arrow, next to the title, for the next day.
  • Tap the left arrow for the day before.
  • Tap the title to go back to today.

In Week, the arrows move a whole week. The title says Next 7 days, Next week or Last week, or the first day, like "Fri 16 Oct". The line under it gives the dates, like "Thu 15 to Wed 21 Oct".

Lanes

Each person, court or room you take bookings for has a lane. A boat has one too. The hours run down the left side: 11, 12, 13 and so on. With many lanes, slide the lanes sideways to see the rest.

The top of each lane shows a round letter in their colour, the name, and a short line about now:

  • Free now
  • "With Aisha": a customer is with them now.
  • Time off
  • "From 13:00": they start later today.
  • "Next 15:30": they are between bookings.
  • Closed now: their hours are over for today.
  • Off: no hours that day.

On other days, the line shows their hours, like "10:00 to 20:00".

On today, the day opens a little before now. Scroll up to see earlier. An orange line with the time marks now.

Striped parts are closed: outside their hours. Right before they open, it says when, like "From 13:00". A day nobody works shows one striped box, like "Closed on Fridays" or Everyone is off.

A boat's lane shows its seats and trips at the top, like "12 seats · 2 trips". Each trip shows once, like "08:00 · 11 of 12", with a row of seats. Tap a trip to open its boat list. See Run a trip day with the boat list.

Bookings on the day

Each booking is a block in the person's colour. It shows the customer's name, the service and the time, like "Gel polish" and "14:30 to 15:15". A walk-in with no name says Walk-in.

  • A solid block with white words is happening now.
  • A faded block is over. A tick on it means done. A cross means the customer did not come.
  • "pays here" after the service means nothing was paid when booking.
  • A tag at the bottom says Slip to check, Deposit paid or Paid. A short block, or the one happening now, shows a small mark instead.
  • A striped block with "Request · 15:45" waits for your answer. Its tag says when, like "Answer by 16:20".
  • A striped block with "Accepted · 11:00" waits for its deposit. Its tag says by when, like "Deposit due 15:00".
  • Deposit not paid is a booking you added and asked a deposit for.
  • Held with "Someone is paying" is a customer paying for that time online.
  • A grey striped block says Time off, with its note if it has one.

Tap any block to open it. See When the customer comes and Answer a booking request.

Free time

Free time is a light box with a dashed edge. It says how long it is, like "Free · 54 min". When it starts now, it says "Free now · 1 h 10". When a service fits, a second line says so, like "Fits a gel polish". For a court with set start times, it shows the start, like "17:00 free".

To fill a free time:

  1. Tap a free time with a round plus. A sheet called Add a booking opens.
    • On a free time happening now, it is a walk-in starting now. It says "Walk-in · Thu 15 Oct" under the title.
    • On a free time later, that time is picked for you.

See Add a booking or a walk-in.

Some free time has no plus, and nothing happens when you tap it:

  • It shows only its length, like "30 min". It is too short to book.
  • You are staff, and it is not happening now. Staff add walk-ins only.

Days that are over have no free time.

On today, a free time with a green edge and Fill it is time a customer did not come to. Tap it to add someone in that time. See When the customer comes.

Prayer times

Each prayer time shows as a light striped band across the lanes. A small moon and the prayer's name sit on it: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib or Isha. The name shows where the lane is open and nothing else is drawn. Free time shows on each side of the band.

You set prayer times in Bookings settings. Someone with Pause at prayer times switched off has no band. See Add who gets booked.

Closed to new bookings

Some free time is striped and says Closed to new bookings. Nobody can book that time. There are two reasons:

  • Without Bookings for more, only one person, court or room takes new bookings. The others show on days they have a booking, and their free time says Closed to new bookings. Nothing happens when you tap it. See Bookings for more.
  • When your plan stops while bookings are still coming, every free time says it. As the owner or a manager, tap one to see why. A sheet called New bookings are closed opens. Your coming bookings stay: serve them, take payment and mark them done as usual. See When your trial ends or your plan stops.

In your free trial

Above your day, a green note says "This is your day as it will look. Bookings open when you pay. Till then, set up and look around."

  • Free times show a small lock instead of a plus. Tap one, and a sheet called Bookings open when you pay opens.
  • Add, the round plus and Time off open the same sheet.
  • In a shop that started with bookings, the bar at the bottom may show Finish setting up, with how many steps are left, like "4 left · Add logo". Tap it to see the steps.

See Open bookings.

The bar at the bottom

On today, in Day, a bar sits above the tabs. It shows what matters now, and it changes through the day.

When someone is in now, it shows their name and till when, like "Aisha · till 14:30". Under it is the money, like "MVR 450 to take", Paid or Slip to check. Or it shows the service and who they are with.

  1. Tap Here when the customer arrives. A short message says "Aisha is here", with Undo.
  2. Tap Done when they finish. The booking opens, so you can take what is left and finish it.

If their time ran out before you tapped Done, the bar says how long over, like "Aisha · 22 min over".

With nobody in now, the bar shows who is next, like "Next: Aisha at 14:30", with the service or Slip to check under it. Tap Open to open that booking.

With nothing on the day, it says Nothing booked yet. The line under it says, for example, "Online bookings show here as they come in", "Online booking is off until you switch it on" or "Closed today".

When the day's bookings are over, it says Nothing else today, or who is free now, like "Liya is free". The line under it may say when someone is free next, like "Liya is free from 15:30", or "No free time left today".

To add a walk-in from the bar:

  1. Tap Add, or the round plus at the right end of the bar. The Add a booking sheet opens as a walk-in, with someone who is free now.

If nobody is free now, the owner and managers get the sheet for a booking later today. Staff get a walk-in on their own lane.

If your login is linked to someone in Who gets booked, the bar shows only that person's bookings. Tap the name on the bar to open the booking.

The bar is not there on other days or in Week. On a later day, the owner and managers get an Add a booking button at the bottom instead.

My day and Everyone

These two chips show under the title for staff whose login is linked to someone in Who gets booked.

  • My day shows only your own lane. It is picked each time you open the calendar. The top of your lane shows your bookings and the money still to take, like "2 bookings · MVR 450 to take".
  • Everyone shows every lane, as the owner sees it.

In Week, My day shows your own lane across the seven days.

Staff with no linked login see every lane, with no chips. The owner, senior managers and managers always see everyone. To link a login, see Their login in Add who gets booked.

First free

In Week, a row above the days says First free. It has one chip for each person, with their round letter. The chip shows their first free time, like "Today 17:00" or "Sat 15:45". "Today, now" means they are free now. A boat's chip shows the seats left, like "Today 08:00 · 1 seat".

  1. Tap a chip. The Add a booking sheet opens at that time. When the chip says "Today, now", it opens as a walk-in.

Staff see a chip only when someone can take a walk-in now.

The week

Under First free, each day is a white card. White is free. Each person has a thin lane, with their bookings as small blocks in their colour. Striped parts are closed time, time off or prayer times. Today has a green ring, with a line at the time now. A day nobody works is striped all over, and its date is grey.

  1. Tap a day's card, or its date at the top. That day opens in Day.

On a phone, Week has no bar and no Add a booking button. Open a day first, or tap a chip under First free.

The three-dot button

  1. Tap the button with three dots at the top right, next to Day and Week. A sheet called Bookings opens.
  2. Tap one of these:
    • Time off
    • Remind tomorrow's bookings
    • Bookings settings
The calendar's three-dot button and its menu: Time off, Remind tomorrow's bookings and Bookings settings.

Time off says "Block a day or a few hours. Bookings in the way get a new time first." See Block time off.

Remind tomorrow's bookings says "One tap each opens WhatsApp with the message ready." See Remind tomorrow's customers.

Bookings settings says "Who gets booked, their hours, prayer times and your rules." See Add who gets booked and Choose how customers book online.

Staff see only Remind tomorrow's bookings. Senior managers and managers have no Settings tab, so this is where they open Bookings settings.

Where bookings that need you show

On the calendar, look for striped requests with "Answer by", and tags like Slip to check or Deposit not paid.

On the order board:

  1. Tap Orders at the top. The number next to it counts new orders and booking requests waiting for an answer.
  2. Look at Needs you, the first group on the board.

Needs you has new online bookings, slips to check and booking requests. A request card has Decline and Accept. See Answer a booking request. Staff see "Waiting for the owner or a manager to answer by 16:20. You can add walk-ins and mark arrivals as usual."

A booking card on the board has Open booking. Tap it, and the calendar opens on that booking.

A card that says Needs a new time is a booking with no time on the calendar. As the owner or a manager, tap Give it a time to pick one.

Notes at the top

The owner, senior managers and managers may see a note above the day until the first booking:

  • Bookings are open, with "Share your page and the first one lands here." Tap Share to share your page.
  • "Your day starts here. Write down every booking, from DMs, calls or the street." This shows when Booking online is off.

If the calendar could not load again, a yellow line says "Couldn't refresh. This is the book as it last loaded." Tap Try again.

On a computer or a tablet held sideways, the calendar has a column on the left. It has Calendar and Orders, the month, People and a big Add a booking button. For staff, the button says Add a walk-in. Tap a day in the month to open it. Under People, the switch next to each name shows or hides their lane. There is no bar at the bottom.

Who can use it

  • Everyone in your team can open the calendar and every booking on it: the owner, senior managers, managers and staff.
  • The owner, senior managers and managers can tap any free time today or later to add a booking. They also see Time off and Bookings settings under the three-dot button.
  • Staff add walk-ins who start now. They can tap Here and Done on the bar, and use Remind tomorrow's bookings.
  • Staff linked to someone in Who gets booked also get My day and Everyone.
  • When a sheet asks to pay, only the owner can pay. Others see "The owner pays the bill, from Billing."

Bookings need a Storefront. One person, court or room comes with the plan. For more, Bookings for more is an add-on. You can see its price in the add-on store.

Common mistakes

I can't tap a free time

  • It shows only its length, like "30 min". It is too short to book.
  • You are staff. Staff can tap only free time happening now, to add a walk-in.
  • The day is over. Past days have no free time.
  • It has a lock. Bookings open when you pay your plan. See Open bookings.

Someone's free time says Closed to new bookings

Without Bookings for more, only one person, court or room takes new bookings. See Bookings for more. If every free time says it, your plan stopped. See When your trial ends or your plan stops.

I can't find the bar or an Add button

The bar shows only on today, in Day.

  • In Week, tap a day to open it, or tap a chip under First free.
  • On a later day, the owner and managers tap Add a booking at the bottom.
  • Staff add walk-ins on today only.

The calendar shows no lanes

If it says Set up your book, nobody has been added to Who gets booked. As the owner or a manager, tap Set up bookings. See Add who gets booked.

If it says "Everyone who gets booked is switched off", switch someone back on. As the owner or a manager:

  1. Tap the button with three dots at the top right.
  2. Tap Bookings settings.
  3. Tap someone in the list.
  4. Turn on Takes bookings.
  5. Tap Save.

I can't see a booking

  • You are staff on My day. Tap Everyone to see every lane.
  • It says Needs a new time. It is not on the calendar. Find it in Needs you on the order board.

Tip

When a customer calls to ask for a time, tap Week. As the owner or a manager, tap a chip under First free to add the booking while they are still on the phone.
