What it is
Your shop has its own link, like shop.eveyla.com/example-shop. Customers tap it to open your shop page. The Share your shop sheet also makes a card with a QR code. A QR code is a square pattern that a phone camera can read. Send the card in a chat, post it on your status, or print it for your shop.
Find it
- On the order board, tap the small round QR code button at the top right. It sits next to the Open button, if you see one.
A sheet called Share your shop opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.)
On a free listing, the first tab is called Home. The QR code button is at the top right there.
From any other page:
- Tap your shop name at the top left. The shop menu opens.
- Tap Copy link & QR.
The QR code button glows until you share or save your card from this phone. To learn the other buttons at the top, see Find your way around the app.
On a computer, the QR code button is at the top right of the order board.
Every setting
To send your card in WhatsApp:
- Tap Share, the first button under the title. It is picked when you start.
- Tap Share card.
- Your phone's share menu opens. It shows the apps you can send with. Tap WhatsApp.
- Pick a chat, or your status.
- Send it.
The card goes as a picture. Some chat apps also add your link under it.
At the top, the sheet says: "Customers scan this to open your storefront and order."
Share, Story, Counter, Door and Sticker
These buttons pick the kind of card. The line under them says what each one is for:
- Share (picked when you start): "For WhatsApp and Viber".
- Story: "For WhatsApp and Instagram status". It is a tall card.
- Counter: "A6 · 105 × 148 mm". A card to print and stand on your counter.
- Door: "100 × 100 mm". A square to print for your door or window.
- Sticker: "60 × 60 mm". A small square for stickers.
If the code would print very small, the sheet says "Small print. Test one before you print a batch."
The card
The picture in the middle is your card. On Share and Story it shows:
- your logo, if you added one
- your shop name and "Now taking orders online"
- the QR code and "Scan to order"
- your link
- "Order with Eveyla" at the bottom
The Counter card shows your shop name and "Scan to order", with your logo if you added one. It also says "Point your phone camera here. No app needed." Under that are the QR code, your link and "Order with Eveyla". The Door card shows "Scan to order", the QR code, your shop name and your link. The Sticker shows your shop name, the QR code and "Scan to order".
The card is green. If your shop has brand colours, the card uses them. See Brand colours.
Your own domain is your own web address, like exampleshop.mv. If you have one, the card shows it instead of shop.eveyla.com when the owner makes it. If you added a logo, it also sits in the middle of the QR code. See Use your own domain.
Customers seeyour shop page, when they point their phone camera at the code.
Share card
This opens your phone's share menu with the card picture. Pick an app, then a chat. When it is sent, the sheet says "Shared".
While the card is being made, both buttons say "Preparing…".
Save image
This keeps the card as a picture, to print or post later. On Counter, Door and Sticker, it is the first button. While it works, it says "Saving…".
- On Android, the picture goes to your downloads. The sheet says "Image downloaded".
- On iPhone, your share menu opens. Tap Save Image. The sheet says "Saved. Choose Photos to keep it".
Copy
The box at the bottom shows your link. Tap it to copy the link. It says "Copied". Now paste the link in a chat, a status or your Instagram profile.
View storefront
This is in the shop menu, above Copy link & QR. It opens your shop page in a new tab. This is the page customers see when they tap your link. Check it before you share.
How your link looks in a chat
When you send your link in WhatsApp or Viber, the chat adds a small picture and some text. This is called a preview.
Customers seea picture with your shop name and island, the title "Example Shop · Order online · Eveyla", and your shop description.
The picture can show a photo of one of your items. If you share your own domain, the title is "Example Shop · Order online".
If you have no description, the text says "Order from Example Shop in Malé. No app, no sign-up." To change it, add a description. See Add your logo, name and description.
Other places to share
- Before your first order, the order board says "Your first order will land here". It shows once you have items, with your link. Tap the link to copy it. The owner also sees Share your link and Place a test order. See The order board.
- The owner can also copy the link in Settings, under Your link. See Your shop link.
- Grow may show a card called "Share your shop link". Tap Share link to open this sheet with Story picked. Grow's Make Story card button does the same. See Grow: today's moves.
- At the end of the tour, the owner can tap Share my link. See Tips and the tour.
- After you add many items at once, tap Share my shop. See Add items from a list or spreadsheet.
Who can use it
Everyone on your team can open Share your shop: the owner, senior managers, managers and staff. On the first-day card, only the owner sees Share your link.
It is free, on a free listing and on a Storefront. On a free listing, customers who scan the code open your listing page.
Common mistakes
It says "Your shop isn't live yet, so this link won't work for customers."
Customers cannot open your shop yet. Go back to the order board. The box at the top says what to do. See Pay your Eveyla bill.
It says "Couldn't make the image" or "Couldn't save"
If it says "Couldn't make the image. Try again", tap Try again next to it. If it says "Couldn't save. Try again", tap Share card or Save image again. Still not working? Close the sheet and open it again.
My printed QR code does not scan
Print one card first. Point your phone camera at it. If your shop does not open, pick a bigger card, like Door or Counter. Watch for "Small print. Test one before you print a batch." It means the code is small on that card.
It says "Couldn't copy. Long press the link to copy it."
Your phone did not let the app copy. Tap Share card instead, and pick the chat. The owner can also copy the link in Settings, under Your link.
Tip
Print the Counter card and put it where customers pay. People who scan it can open your shop on their phone next time, without coming in.
