What it is

Each order goes through steps, like Preparing, On the way and Delivered. You tap one button for each step. The order moves on your order board. The customer sees the new step on their order page. You can do this from the order board or from the order page.

Find it

  1. Tap Orders in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Find the order in Needs you or In progress.
  3. Tap the button at the bottom right of the card.

To use the order page instead:

  1. Tap the card, not the button. The order page opens.
  2. Scroll down to Status.

On a computer, the order opens on the right side of the screen.

Every setting

Accept a new order

  1. Tap Orders.
  2. Find the new order in Needs you.
  3. Tap Accept at the bottom right of the card.

The order moves to In progress, or to Later if it is for another day. Its step is now "Preparing". For pickup orders at most shops, it is "Packing". On the order page, the same button says Accept order.

Customers see

the new step on their order page. For example, "Packing now", or "In the kitchen" at a food shop. See What customers see after they order.

Move it to the next step

Each time the order moves on, tap the white button on its card. The button names the next step, like Mark on the way. After the last step, the order moves to Done.

The steps depend on your shop and on how the customer gets the order.

Most shops:

  • Delivery, ferry and air cargo: Accept, then Mark on the way, then Mark delivered.
  • Pickup: Accept, then Mark ready to collect, then Mark collected.
  • Dine-in: Accept, then Mark ready, then Mark done.

Food shops (shops with the category Home food, Restaurant & café, or Bakery & cakes):

  • Delivery, ferry and air cargo: Accept, then Mark ready, then Mark on the way, then Mark delivered.
  • Pickup: Accept, then Mark ready to collect, then Mark collected.
  • Dine-in: Accept, then Mark ready, then Mark done.

On the order page, the green button adds the word "as". For example, Mark as on the way or Mark as delivered.

To change your category, see Choose your shop category.

Customers see

each new step. For a delivery, they see "Almost yours" when it is on the way. Then they see "Enjoy, Aisha" when it is delivered.

Confirm a payment slip

A payment slip is the photo of a bank transfer. Sometimes a customer pays by transfer or PayPal and sends a slip. Then the card button says Confirm in blue. A small slip icon is next to it.

  1. Open your bank or PayPal app.
  2. Check that the money is really there.
  3. Tap Confirm on the card.

The order now says it is paid. If the order is new, the button then says Accept. Some pre-orders ask for a deposit (part of the price paid first). There, Confirm marks only the deposit as paid.

To look at the slip first, tap the card. See Check a payment slip and confirm payment.

Other card buttons

  • Check payment (blue): the order has digital items and a slip. It opens the order. See Sell digital items: codes, links and top-ups.
  • Send it (green): a digital order is paid and not sent yet. It opens the order.
  • With Grow's slip check on, Confirm can be green when Grow says the slip looks right. The button can also say Check (red) or Ask for MVR 20. Both open the order. See Let Grow check payment slips.
  • Pay link orders can show Check slip, Cash received, Accept order, Start packing or Mark preparing. A red Refund or reopen or Check payment means the link was paid late or paid twice. See Follow up on a pay link.

Cards in Waiting for payment, Later and Done have no step button. Neither do sales at the Counter (the POS tab).

Status

The Status part shows, from top to bottom:

  • what kind of order it is, on the right: "Delivery order", "Pickup order", "Dine-in order", "Ferry order" or "Air cargo order"
  • dots with the step names under them. Green dots are done. The current step has a ring around it.
  • the green button for the next step
  • Cancel in red letters next to it, for orders from your shop page. See Cancel or refund an order.

For a pay link that is not paid yet, the button is white. It says Start preparing before it's paid. For pickup at most shops, it says Start packing before it's paid.

When the order is finished, a card shows "Delivered", "Collected" or "Done" with the time. A cancelled order says "This order was cancelled."

Go back a step

If you tapped too soon:

  1. Tap the card. The order page opens.
  2. Scroll down to Status.
  3. Tap the small Back to link under the green button. It names the step before, like Back to preparing.

For a finished order, the link says Undo, back to and the step. For example, Undo, back to on the way. A cancelled order cannot go back.

Customers see

the earlier step again. After Back to new, they can see "Order received" again.

Accept many orders at once

The prep sheet can accept all new orders with one tap. Look for the card Accept 3 new orders there. See Prep sheet step 2: pack the orders.

Who can use it

Everyone in your team can accept orders and move them along. That means the owner, senior managers, managers and staff.

It needs a Storefront.

Common mistakes

A red message shows under the card

The button did not work, and the card went back to how it was. Check your internet. Then tap the button again.

The order page says "Couldn't update this order"

Check that your phone is online. Go back to the order board. Open the order again. Then tap the button once more. If it keeps happening, sign out and sign in again. See Sign in, sign out and reset your password.

I tapped Confirm, but the money never came

Open the order. In the Payment part, tap Mark as unpaid. It is not there when you confirmed only a deposit. It is not there on a pay link either. See Check a payment slip and confirm payment. For a pay link, see Follow up on a pay link.

There is no button on the card

Orders in Later have no button on the board. To move one early, tap the card and use Status on the order page. Orders in Waiting for payment wait for the customer to pay. See Follow up on a pay link.

Tip

Tap Accept as soon as you see a new order. Until you do, the customer's order page stays on the first step.
