The customer's order page
After a customer taps Place order, their order page opens. It shows how the order is going and what they need to do. It also has buttons to contact you, and their receipt. The page changes each time you move the order on your order board. Customers do not need an app or an account.
Customers come back to it in three ways:
- the link in a receipt you share with them.
- the QR code on their own receipt. It says "Scan to track".
- a Your orders button on your shop page. On Shelf, it is a small receipt button at the top. It shows on the phone they ordered from, and lists their orders.
See it yourself
- Tap Orders in the bar at the bottom.
- If the order is finished, tap Done at the top.
- Tap the order card, not the button on it. The order opens in Eveyla.
- Scroll down to Receipt.
- Tap Share.
- Send it to yourself, for example in WhatsApp.
- Open the message.
- Tap the link. The customer's order page opens.
You can also place a test order. The order page opens right after you tap Place order. See Place a test order.
What customers see, top to bottom
Your shop name
Your logo and shop name are at the top. Customers tap them to go back to your shop.
The big headline
A big headline says how the order is going. Under it, a row of small pictures shows how far the order has come. Under the pictures, one line says what the customer needs to do, if anything.
On the first visit, leaves fall across the screen. They fall again when the order arrives.
What it says at each step
The headline and the line change when you tap the next step on your order board. See Accept an order and move it along.
Right after they order:
- Headline: "Thanks, Aisha", with the customer's first name.
- Line: "Packing starts soon.", or "Cooking starts soon." at food shops.
- Paying cash: "Have MVR 150 cash ready at the door." For pickup, "Bring MVR 150 cash." For dine-in, "Pay MVR 150 at the counter."
- Paid by bank transfer with a slip: "Slip received. Nothing else to do."
- Paid by PayPal with a screenshot: "Screenshot received. Nothing else to do."
When they open the page again later, the headline says "Order received".
When you tap Accept:
- "Packing now", or "In the kitchen" at food shops.
- For pickup, the line says "Come by once it's ready."
When the order is ready:
- Pickup: "Come collect".
- Dine-in: "Time to eat".
- Delivery at food shops: "Packed to go".
When the order is on the way:
- Delivery: "Almost yours". If they pay cash, the line says "Have MVR 150 cash ready at the door." again.
- Ferry: "On the boat". If they pay cash, the line says "Have MVR 150 cash for the boat."
- Air cargo: "Flying to you", with "Bring ID matching the package name."
If you confirmed the payment, the line at these steps says "Nothing to pay at the door." For pickup and dine-in, it says "Nothing to pay. It's waiting for you." See Check a payment slip and confirm payment.
When the order is delivered or collected:
- "Enjoy, Aisha", or "See you soon" for dine-in.
- Five stars to rate the order. After a customer taps a star, they can tap Add a note. Then they tap Send. The page then says "Thanks, sent to" and your shop name. See Get and see reviews.
- If cash was not marked as paid: "Settle MVR 150 if you haven't yet."
- Order again under the receipt. It opens your shop.
When you cancel the order:
- "Sorry, Aisha".
- "Call the shop to ask why." If you have no call number, it says "Message the shop to ask why."
- If they sent a transfer slip, "Call the shop about your transfer."
- If you confirmed their payment, "The shop owes you MVR 150."
- After you tap Mark as refunded, the line says "Paid back. Not in yet? Message the shop." See Cancel or refund an order.
Other headlines
These can show instead of the step headline:
- "Order changed", with a list of what you changed, when you edit the order before it leaves. The line can say "Pay MVR 50 more. Expect a message." or "The shop owes you MVR 50." See Change an order.
- "Made for you", with a line like "Expected by Fri 23 Oct.", for pre-order items. See Sell an item as a pre-order.
- "All booked", with "Packing starts closer to the time.", for an order for a later day and time. See Take orders for later.
- A headline like "Looks good" or "A little more to pay", when Grow checks the payment slip. See Let Grow check payment slips.
- "Sending now" and "All yours", with the codes or links, for digital items. See Sell digital items: codes, links and top-ups.
Contact buttons
A row of buttons lets customers reach you: Call, WhatsApp and Viber, for the numbers you have. If you have a phone number but no WhatsApp or Viber, the first visit also shows SMS. The buttons use your phone, WhatsApp and Viber numbers. See Add your phone, WhatsApp, Viber and social links.
On the first visit, WhatsApp and SMS start a message with the order details. Viber copies the order details first. Customers then paste them in Viber.
The receipt
Under the contact buttons is the receipt. It shows your shop, the order number, the items, the total and how it is paid. Its QR code says "Scan to track" and opens this page. After the order is delivered, a small button on it says "Rate your order".
Customers tap Save image to keep it in their photos, or Share to send it. See Save or share a receipt.
Under the receipt
- Order again: after the order is delivered or cancelled. It opens your shop.
- "Your basket at" and another shop's name: on the first visit, if the customer has a basket at another shop.
- Add your business TIN: if you make tax invoices. A TIN is a tax number. See Bills and GST: tax invoices.
The bottom of the page
- "Problem with this order?": it sends a message to Eveyla, not to you.
- "Policy": your delivery and refund policy, if you wrote one. See Add a delivery and refund policy.
- "Powered by Eveyla".
When the link is shared
When a customer pastes their order link in a chat, the preview says "Track your order · Eveyla" and "Live updates on your order. No app needed." It never shows the order details. With your own domain (your own web address), the preview shows your shop name instead. See Use your own domain.
Who can use it
Customers open it from their link, with no account. Everyone in your team can move orders on the order board, so everyone changes what this page says. Everyone can also share a receipt from the order in Eveyla.
It needs a Storefront.
If this happens
A customer's link says "No order here" or "Link cut short"
The link is broken or cut short. The order is safe. On your order board, tap Done if the order is finished. Tap the order card. Under Receipt, tap Share. Send the link again. See Save or share a receipt.
The page still says "Packing starts soon."
You have not accepted the order yet. Tap Accept on the order card. See Accept an order and move it along.
The customer still sees a cash line after paying
Tap the order card on your order board. Tap Mark cash received. See Check a payment slip and confirm payment.
There are no contact buttons
You have no phone, WhatsApp or Viber number. See Add your phone, WhatsApp, Viber and social links.
Tip
Tap the next step on your order board as soon as it happens. Customers can see each step on their page, so they message you less to ask where their order is.
