What it is

Delivery days and times tell customers when your rider goes out. A delivery run is one trip your rider makes. Before they pay, customers see your next run, or a range of days. If you do not set them, customers see no delivery time. If you deliver to many islands, you can give some islands their own days and times.

Find it

  1. Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Scroll down to Delivery & payments.
  3. Tap Delivery. A sheet called Delivery opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.)
  4. Find the first card, I deliver to them.
  5. If it has no green tick, tap it.
  6. Scroll down to Set delivery days and times.
  7. Tap its switch. It turns green and the card opens.

On a computer, Settings is in the bar on the left.

Every setting

Change what you need, then tap Save at the bottom of the sheet.

Set delivery days and times

The switch starts off. Under the title, the app says "Any day, anytime". When it is on, it says "On".

At the top of the card, the app says: "Orders placed after a delivery time ends go to the next one, even if that is another day. The customer sees the day and time before they pay."

If you turn the switch off and tap Save, the app keeps your days and times. Turn it on again, and they come back.

Delivery window

This box holds your delivery days and times. With Some islands or All islands, it is called Default window. It then counts for every island that has no times of its own.

When you first turn on the switch, the app fills in your opening days and hours. There is one Start and one End for all your days. If your hours change from day to day, check them. If your shop is open 24/7, every day is picked, with 09:00 to 17:00. See Set your opening hours.

  1. Look at the days, Mon to Sun. Green days are the days you deliver.
  2. Tap a day that is not green to add it. Tap a green day to take it off. Keep at least one day green.
  3. Tap Start.
  4. Pick when your rider goes out.
  5. Tap End.
  6. Pick when the run ends. It must be later than Start.
  7. For a second run, tap Add another time. A new time shows under the first.
  8. Set its Start and End the same way.

With two or more runs, each one is called Time 1, Time 2 and so on. To take one off, tap Remove next to it. When you have as many times as the app allows, Add another time goes away.

The line under the box depends on what you picked under Where do you deliver?:

  • With My island, it says "Matched to your opening hours. Change it if your delivery runs are different." It shows only while your times are the same as your opening hours.
  • With Some islands or All islands, it says "Applies everywhere you deliver, unless a zone below has its own times."
Customers see

a line like "Next delivery run is today, 9 am to 5 pm". It shows in their basket and at checkout (the last page, where customers place the order). If the next run is on another day, it says "tomorrow", or a date like "Tue 20 Oct".

Some customers pick a time for later, or order a pre-order item. They see that time or promise instead. See Take orders for later and Sell an item as a pre-order.

Your shop page may also show your times next to your delivery areas, like "09:00 to 17:00". This depends on your shop's look. See What customers see on your shop page.

How soon does an order arrive?

This is inside the window box, under the times. Tap one of two choices:

  • On the next delivery run (picked when you start): "Customers see the day and time of your next run."
  • Within a few days: "Customers see a range and the latest day it arrives."

With Within a few days, two numbers show. They start at 1 to 3 days. The first number is the earliest day. The second is the latest day. Tap − or + next to a number to change it.

A green box called Customers see (shown in capital letters) tells you what customers will read. For example: "Arrives in 1 to 3 days, by Tue 20 Oct". If the first number is 0, it reads "Arrives in 3 days or less, by ...". If both numbers are the same, it reads "Arrives in 2 days, on ...". Under it, the app says "Only your delivery days count, so a day you're closed never breaks the promise."

Customers see

"Arrives in 1 to 3 days, by Tue 20 Oct" in their basket and at checkout. Checkout also shows your times, like "Riders go out 9 am to 5 pm." If a day you do not deliver falls in the range, it adds "No deliveries on Friday."

With Some islands or All islands, customers on some far islands do not see a run. They see "Goes by boat. The shop tells you the day it leaves" instead. To show them a run, give their island its own times. See the next setting.

Different times for some zones?

This shows only when you picked Some islands or All islands under Where do you deliver?. See Set where you deliver and your fees. A zone is one island with its own delivery days and times.

  1. Tap Pick an island, under Add a different time for a zone.
  2. Type the island name in the Search island or atoll box.
  3. Tap the island. A new box with its name shows above.
  4. Tap the days you deliver there. A new zone starts with no days.
  5. Tap its Start. It starts at 09:00.
  6. Pick a time.
  7. Tap its End. It starts at 17:00.
  8. Pick a time.
  9. Under its own How soon does an order arrive?, tap a choice.

A zone box has the same parts as the main box. For a second run there, tap its Add another time.

Pick only islands you deliver to. To take a zone off, tap Remove next to the island name.

Customers see

on that island, the zone's own run or range, instead of the default one.

What you see on an order

On a delivery order's page, a green box shows Deliver (shown in capital letters). Under it are the day, like "Tue 20 Oct", and the time of the run. With Within a few days, it says Deliver by and the latest day. Under it is a line like "Promised 1 to 3 days. Runs 09:00 to 17:00". The box stays until the order is delivered or cancelled. See Everything on an order page.

Who can use it

Only the owner can set delivery days and times. Team members do not see Settings. Everyone in the team sees the Deliver box on orders.

It needs a Storefront. It is not part of the free listing.

Common mistakes

I cannot find Set delivery days and times

The card shows only when I deliver to them has a green tick. Tap that card at the top of the sheet. Then scroll down.

A red message says "end later than start"

The message says "... needs a start and end for each time, with end later than start." It starts with "Delivery window", "Default window", or "Zone" and the island name. That tells you which box to fix. Each End must be later than its Start. The latest you can end is 23:59. Do not pick 00:00 as the end.

A red message says the times overlap

The message says "... has times that overlap. Make each one start after the one before ends." Change Time 2 so it starts when Time 1 ends, or later.

My delivery times or zones are gone

A window with no green day is not kept when you save. A zone with no green day is removed too. Tap at least one day in each box, then tap Save.

The X at the top right also closes the sheet without saving. Tapping the dark part of the screen does the same.

I do not see Different times for some zones?

It shows only with Some islands or All islands. With My island, you have one window for your island.

Tip

If your rider goes out twice a day, add both runs with Add another time. A customer who orders after the first run ends then sees the second run, the same day.
