What it is
Send to rider is on your order board. You tap the orders going out. The app writes one message for your rider. It has each customer's name, phone and address, and the cash to collect. You paste it in WhatsApp or Viber. Customers do not see this message.
Find it
- Tap Orders in the bar at the bottom.
- Tap Live at the top, if it is not picked.
- Find the group title In progress. Group titles are in capital letters.
- Tap Send to rider on the right of that title.
No orders in progress? Then Send to rider is next to Needs you or Later.
On a computer, Send to rider is also at the top right of the order board.
Every setting
To send orders to your rider:
- Tap Send to rider. The line at the top now says "Send to rider · tap the orders going out".
- Tap each order going out. A green tick shows on the right of the card.
- Tap Copy details in the bar at the bottom. A sheet called Send to your rider opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.)
- Read the message and the cash to collect.
- Tap Copy. The app says "Copied".
- Open WhatsApp or Viber.
- Open the chat with your rider.
- Paste the message.
- Send it.
Picked the wrong order? Tap it again to take the tick off.
Instead of Copy, you can tap Share. Then pick WhatsApp or Viber from your phone's share menu. If you close the share menu without picking, the app copies the message instead.
After you copy or share, your order board goes back to normal. The orders stay where they were.
When the rider leaves, tap Mark on the way on each order. In a food shop, tap Mark ready first. See Accept an order and move it along.
Picking orders
While you pick, each order shows what the rider collects:
- "rider collects": cash on delivery.
- "paid, nothing to collect"
- "slip received, do not collect": a payment slip (the photo of a bank transfer) came in. You have not confirmed it yet.
- "unpaid, rider collects if no slip": the customer has not paid, and no slip came in.
- "rider collects MVR 200" or "deposit not confirmed yet": an order with a deposit (part of the price paid first).
Your rider gets the message, not these words. The message can say something different. Check each order's line in the message. See What the rider collects below.
Some orders look pale and cannot be picked. A line at the bottom of the card says why:
- "Pickup, the customer collects it."
- "Dine-in, nothing to send." Some shops see "In person, nothing to send."
- "Waiting for payment" on some pay link orders. A pay link is a payment link you send to a customer. See Send a pay link.
To pick every order in a group, tap Select all next to the group title. Tap it again to unpick them.
To stop without sending, tap Cancel at the top right.
The bar at the bottom
The bar shows how many orders you picked, like "3 picked". Under it, it says "Rider collects MVR 450" or "Nothing to collect". Copy details works once you pick an order.
Send to your rider
Under the title, the sheet says "3 orders. Paste it in WhatsApp or Viber."
An orange box says Rider collects with the cash to collect, like MVR 450. It shows only when there is cash to collect. This is the amount in the message. Check it before you send.
Under it is the message. The app says "Bold lines show as bold in WhatsApp."
The message starts with "Deliveries from" and your shop name. Then the date and how many orders, like "Fri 16 Oct, 3 orders". For each order it has:
- the order number in bold, then the name, like "Order #12 Aisha"
- the phone, and a second phone if the customer gave one
- the address and the island
- "Doorstep delivery: bring the order up to the door." if the customer asked for it
- what the rider collects (see below)
- the day and time, if the order has a set time, like "Deliver Tue 20 Oct, 14:00"
- the customer's note, like "Note: Call me at the gate"
At the end it says "Total to collect: MVR 450", when there is cash to collect.
To close the sheet without sending, tap the X at the top right. Tapping the dark part of the screen does the same. Your picks stay.
What the rider collects
Each order in the message has one of these lines:
- "COD, collect MVR 150". COD means cash on delivery: the rider takes the cash.
- "Paid, nothing to collect"
- "Paid MVR 200, collect MVR 50 more". The order was changed after the customer paid.
- "Deposit MVR 100 paid, collect MVR 200". You confirmed the deposit.
- "Deposit not confirmed yet, check before collecting MVR 200"
- "Transfer not confirmed yet, do not collect". The customer pays by bank transfer or PayPal, and you have not confirmed it.
- "Not paid yet", on a pay link order.
- "Refunded, nothing to collect"
Ferry and air cargo orders
Ferry orders show "(ferry)" after the name. Instead of an address, they show "Boat:" with the boat's name, where it leaves from and when. They also show "Package name:". See Send far orders by ferry.
Air cargo orders have no address, airport or package name. The island shown is the airport's island. To send the airport and the package name, use Copy delivery details below. See Send orders by air cargo.
Copy delivery details
To send one order, open it and tap Copy delivery details under Delivering to. On an air cargo order, it is under Air cargo. See Everything on an order page.
If you use the prep sheet, its last step also makes a list for your rider. See Prep sheet step 3: send them out.
Stock from
Only shops that keep stock in more than one place see this. Order cards on the board show the place, like "From Storage".
To take an order's stock from another place:
- Tap the order on your order board. The order page opens.
- Find Stock from (in capital letters), under the order's steps. It shows the place name.
- Tap Fill from another place. A sheet with the same name opens. It says "Order 12. The stock comes off the place you pick."
- Tap a place.
The app says "Order 12 now comes from Storage".
In the sheet, each place has a line under its name:
- "Shop · this order comes from here", with a green Now. This is the place it comes from now. The first word can also be "Storage" or "Pop-up".
- "Checking stock…" while the app looks at the stock there.
- "Has enough for this order"
- "Only 2 of Mango juice there". There is not enough stock, so you cannot pick it. If more items are short, it adds "and 1 more".
- "Not counted there yet"
To keep the place as it is, tap the X at the top right.
If the stock cannot load, the sheet says "Couldn't load the stock at each place. You can still pick one." If a red box shows after you tap a place, read it. For example, "No internet. Nothing was changed. Try again when you are back online."
Fill from another place shows only while the order is new or being prepared. Once you mark it ready or on the way, the button is gone. If the place was closed, the Stock from box says "A closed place".
Who can use it
Everyone in your team can use Send to rider: the owner, senior managers, managers and staff.
Everyone sees Stock from. Only the owner, senior managers and managers can tap Fill from another place.
The order board needs a Storefront. Keeping stock in more than one place is part of the Storefront too.
Common mistakes
I don't see Send to rider
It shows only when you have an order that can go out: delivery, ferry or air cargo. Pickup and dine-in orders do not go to a rider. Some pay link orders that wait for payment cannot go either.
Does Live look empty, or are orders missing? A choice you picked in Done may still be on. To clear it:
- Tap Done.
- Tap the funnel button on the right. It has no words, only a funnel picture (a cone, wide at the top).
- Tap All.
- Tap the funnel button again.
- Tap All time.
- Tap Live.
See Find an old order.
An order is pale and I cannot pick it
Read the line at the bottom of the card. Pickup and dine-in orders stay at your shop. A pay link order can go once the customer pays, or once you start preparing it.
Copied does not show
Tap Share instead, and pick WhatsApp or Viber. If the sheet shows a red message, close it with the X. Then tap Copy details again.
My orders did not move to On the way
Send to rider only makes the message. When the rider leaves, tap Mark on the way on each order. In a food shop, tap Mark ready first. Customers then see that their order is on the way.
I can't pick a place in Fill from another place
The line says "Only 2 of Mango juice there". That place does not have enough stock. Send stock to that place first, or pick another place. See Keep stock in more than one place.
Tip
Confirm every bank transfer before the rider leaves. Then the message says "Paid, nothing to collect" for those orders. When the rider comes back, count the cash against "Total to collect" in your message.
