What it is

Collect is a search for pickup orders (orders the customer comes to get). You type the last 4 digits of the customer's bank receipt. You can also type their phone, the order number or their name. The order opens as a card. It shows what proves the order is theirs, what they still owe, and what goes in the bag. One tap hands it over.

Find it

  1. Tap Orders in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Tap Collect at the top right. It is a green button.

A sheet called Collect an order opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.) To close it, tap the X at the top right.

On a computer, click the box at the top that says "Collect · ref, phone, name or #". Or press the / key.

If you do not see Collect, the owner must turn it on first:

  1. Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Scroll down to Delivery & payments.
  3. Tap Delivery.
  4. If the They collect from me card is not green, tap it.
  5. Turn on the Check receipts at pickup switch. It is under Pickup location.
  6. Tap Save at the bottom.

See Let customers pick up.

For the other buttons at the top of the order board, see Find your way around the app.

Every setting

To hand over an order:

  1. Ask the customer for their bank receipt. This is the screen or paper from their bank that shows the transfer.
  2. Type the last 4 digits of the reference in the big box. The reference is the long code on their receipt. The order opens as a card.
  3. Check that their receipt shows the amount on the card.
  4. Tap the big green button at the bottom, like Hand over #12.
  5. Give the customer their bag.

A green strip says "#12 handed over". The box is empty again, ready for the next customer.

No receipt? Type their phone number, the order number or their name instead. Each part is explained below.

The box shows a grey "0000". You can type:

  • the last 4 digits of the reference on their bank receipt
  • the last 4 digits of their phone number
  • the order number, like 12
  • their name

To type a name, tap ABC on the right. The grey word in the box changes to "Name". Tap 123 to go back to numbers. To empty the box, tap the X in it.

Before you type, the app says: "Ask for their bank receipt. Type the last 4 digits of the reference."

Collect finds an order from the receipt only when Grow has read the payment slip. Grow is your shop assistant in Eveyla. A payment slip is the photo of the bank transfer that the customer sent you. See Let Grow check payment slips.

Ready for pickup

Before you type, Collect lists the pickup orders that are ready to collect. The title says how many, like "Ready for pickup · 3". Each row shows the order number, the name, the amount and one word:

  • "Paid": the customer paid, or their slip looks right.
  • "Cash": the customer pays cash now.
  • "Check": the order needs a look first. Tap it to see why.

Tap a row to open its card. To go back, tap Back to the list.

Search results

When the receipt digits match a slip, or only one order matches, its card opens. Otherwise you see a list, like "3 found". Each row says how it matched: "Slip ref matches", "Order number", "Phone matches" or "Name matches". It also says when they ordered, like "Today 3:02 pm", "Yesterday 3:02 pm" or "5 Oct". In the list, a row can also say "Collected" or "Cancelled". Tap the right order to open its card.

With a card open, other matches show under "Also has", with what you typed.

Search all orders

When nothing matches, the app says "Nothing on the board for 8720". Tap Search all orders to look in older orders. When you see results but not the right one, tap Not here? Search all orders under the list.

If there is still nothing, the app says "No order for 8720" and: "References are only saved for slips Grow has read. Older slips, or ones sent while credits were out, can still be found by phone or name." Tap Try a name or Try a phone number.

The order card

The strip at the top of the card says how you found it and how it is paid:

  • "Slip ref matches" and "Paid · transfer", in green. The receipt digits match the order's slip.
  • "Cash at pickup" and "Take MVR 150", in orange. The customer pays cash now.
  • "Slip is short" and "MVR 20 to pay". The transfer was less than the order. When the receipt digits match, it says "Slip ref matches · short".
  • "Order number", "Phone matches", "Name matches" or "Ready for pickup". When the order is paid, it also says how, like "Paid · transfer".

Under the strip are the big order number and the name. Under the name are the total and when they ordered, like "MVR 185 · ordered Today 3:02 pm". Then you see one of these:

  • "Their receipt should show MVR 185", the "Reference" with the matching digits in green, and when it was "Sent". Compare these with their receipt.
  • "Take in cash" with the amount.
  • Three boxes for a short slip: "Order", "Slip" and "Still owed". The customer pays the "Still owed" amount in cash.

"Still marked as being packed." shows when you have not marked the order ready yet. You can still hand it over.

"In the bag" lists the items to give, like "In the bag · 3". A long list ends with a line like "+2 more".

The hand over button

The big button at the bottom changes its words:

  • Hand over #12: the receipt digits match, or you gave a reason.
  • Got MVR 150 · hand over: tap it after you take the cash.
  • Got MVR 20 cash · hand over: for a short slip. Take the rest in cash first.
  • I compared it · hand over: Grow did not read this slip, so you check it yourself.

For I compared it · hand over, the card says "Grow didn't read this slip. Open it and compare the amount and reference with their receipt."

  1. Tap the slip picture. It opens on a new page.
  2. Check that the amount and reference match their receipt.
  3. Go back to Eveyla.
  4. Tap I compared it · hand over.

When the button is grey, you cannot tap it yet. The card says what to do:

  • "Anyone can know a name or number. Ask for the last 4 digits of their bank receipt." Type the 4 digits in the "0000" box under it. If they are wrong, it says "Those digits don't match this order's slip."
  • "There is no slip on this order to check. Say why you are handing it over." Tap Hand over with a reason under the button. Then pick a reason. See Hand over anyway below.

Sometimes the payment is not confirmed yet, but the slip looks right. Then the card says "Payment is confirmed by their slip reference, so it can't go out on a name alone." Type their 4 digits. Handing it over then also marks the order paid.

If a red line shows after you tap the button, read it. For example, "Already handed over by Aisha" means someone in your team handed it over first. Do not hand anything over.

Hand over anyway

For a paid order, a small link is under the button. It says one of these:

  • They don't have it? Hand over anyway
  • Can't compare? Hand over anyway
  • Hand over with a reason

Tap it. The card asks "Why no check? The owner sees this." Tap a reason: Forgot phone, Known customer, Paid by card or Owner said OK. Or type your own in the "Or type a reason" box. The button stays grey until you pick or type a reason. Then tap Hand over #12.

When not to hand over

Some cards have no hand over button:

  • A red card says Already picked up. It shows "When", "By" and "Checked". "By" says "Marked collected on the board" if it was marked collected without Collect. "Checked" shows only when it was handed over in Collect. It says how, like "Slip ref 8720" or "cash taken". The card says: "Don't hand anything over. If they say they never got it, show them this and call the owner."
  • "This order was cancelled. Nothing to hand over."
  • "This order was refunded. Nothing to hand over."
  • "This order has a deposit. Open it to settle the rest first." A deposit is part of the price, paid first.
  • "Payment isn't confirmed yet. Open the order to check the slip before handing it over."

Tap Open order to see the order page. To confirm a payment, see Check a payment slip and confirm payment.

After you hand over

The green strip shows the name and how it was checked, like "Aisha · slip ref checked". It can also say "slip compared", "cash taken" or "name only".

The order moves to Done on your order board. Its card shows who handed it over, how, and when, like "Mariyam · cash taken · 3:02 pm". A handover with no check shows in orange, with the reason. If the customer paid cash, the order is now paid.

Customers see

"Enjoy, Aisha" on their order page, and the step "Collected".

Undo

Took the wrong bag? Tap the Undo 0:45 button in the green strip. The number counts down the seconds left. The order goes back to how it was.

The strip is gone when the time runs out, or when you close Collect. You can still undo on the order page. See "I handed over the wrong order" below.

Who can use it

Everyone in your team can use Collect: the owner, senior managers, managers and staff.

Only the owner can turn on Check receipts at pickup in Settings.

Collect needs a Storefront, with pickup on. Finding an order from the bank receipt needs Grow to read your payment slips. This uses Grow credits. See Grow credits.

Common mistakes

I don't see Collect

Collect is only on the order board. If it is not there, the owner must turn on Check receipts at pickup. See Find it above.

It says Nothing on the board for the receipt digits

The receipt can only be found when Grow has read the slip. Tap Search all orders to look in older orders too.

Still nothing? Find the order by name:

  1. Tap the X in the big box. The box is empty again.
  2. Tap ABC.
  3. Type their name.

To find it by phone, tap the X first. Then type the last 4 digits of their phone.

The hand over button is grey

Read the card. It says what to do:

  • If the card has a "0000" box, ask for the last 4 digits of their bank receipt. Type them in that box.
  • If they do not have it and the order is paid, tap They don't have it? Hand over anyway under the button.
  • If the card says "There is no slip on this order to check", tap Hand over with a reason under the button.

After you tap one of these links, pick a reason or type one. Then the button turns green. See Hand over anyway above.

It says Payment isn't confirmed yet

Tap Open order. Check the payment slip there. Then open Collect again. See Check a payment slip and confirm payment.

I handed over the wrong order

Undo it right away with the button in the green strip. If the strip is gone:

  1. Type the order number in the big box. The card says Already picked up.
  2. If it says "Nothing on the board" instead, tap Search all orders.
  3. If a list shows, tap the order.
  4. Tap Open order. The order page opens.
  5. Scroll down to Status.
  6. Tap Undo, back to ready to collect.

The order is ready to collect again. This does not change the payment. See Accept an order and move it along.

Tip

Write the order number on each bag when you pack it. When the card opens, match the big number on it with the number on the bag.
