- Tip
First, look at your shop page
Open your shop page the way customers see it:
- Tap your shop name at the top left. The shop menu opens.
- Tap View storefront. Your shop page opens in a new tab.
- Scroll down to Book a time. It is above your items.
Look at the right of each service. It says Book, Ask, Message to book, Not available or "Book at the shop". Then find the same words below.
Book and Ask mean customers can book that service. If a customer still got stuck, look at the problems about free times and the booking checkout below.
Open Bookings settings
Many fixes below start in Bookings settings. The owner, senior managers and managers can open it from the calendar:
- Tap the first tab in the bar at the bottom. It says Bookings or Orders.
- If Calendar is not picked at the top, tap Calendar.
- Tap the button with three dots at the top right, next to Day and Week. A sheet called Bookings opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.)
- Tap Bookings settings.
The owner can also start from Settings in the bar at the bottom. In a shop that started with bookings, tap Who gets booked at the top. In a shop that sells, scroll down and tap Bookings.
On a computer, the tabs are in the bar on the left.
If this happens
Every service says Message to book, in my free trial
Customers cannot book before bookings open. This is so even when Booking online is on. A strip at the top of your screen says, for example, "Free trial · 9 days left". Your calendar says "This is your day as it will look." and "Bookings open when you pay."
Bookings open when the owner pays the plan:
- Tap Open bookings at the right end of that strip. Billing opens.
- Pay your plan. Every step is in Open bookings.
Only the owner can open Billing. If you are a manager, ask the owner.
Also turn on Booking online. If it is off, customers still see Message to book after bookings open. See the next problem.
Every service says Message to book, and my plan is paid
Under Book a time, your page says "Message", your shop name and "to book a time." Check two things.
First, check Booking online. When it is off, customers message you to book. In Bookings settings, the row under Booking online says Customers message you to book. In a shop that started with bookings, the Booking online row in Settings says "Off · customers message you to book".
To turn it on, as the owner of a shop that started with bookings:
- Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
- Tap Booking online. A sheet called Booking online opens.
- Tap the Customers book online switch. It turns green.
- Tap Save at the bottom.
A short message says "Customers can book online now". In a shop that sells, or as a manager, open Bookings settings. Scroll to the bottom. Tap the row under Booking online. Then do steps 3 and 4.
Is the switch grey, and it does not move? A grey box under it says what to add first. See Choose how customers book online.
Second, look at your calendar. Does it say "Everyone who gets booked is switched off. Switch someone back on in Bookings settings."? Then nobody can be booked.
- Open Bookings settings.
- Under Who gets booked, tap the person, court or room. Their sheet opens.
- Near the bottom, tap the Takes bookings switch. It turns green.
- Tap Save.
See Add who gets booked.
My trial ended or my plan stopped
New bookings close. Your shop shows as a free listing. Customers see your services and message you. There is no Book button.
While bookings are still coming, the owner sees a red strip at the top, like "Your plan ended on 12 Oct". Your coming bookings stay. If you try to add a booking, a sheet called New bookings are closed opens.
To take bookings again, the owner pays the bill. Tap Pay my bill in the red strip. See When your trial ends or your plan stops.
One service says Message to book, and the others say Book
Customers cannot book that one service on your page. Check these, one at a time.
First, open the service's Booking panel:
- Tap Services in the bar at the bottom. If your shop also sells products, it says Items.
- Tap the service's name or photo. Do not tap the button on the right of its row. The service's sheet opens.
- Tap Booking. A panel called Booking opens.
Does Who does it say Nobody? The app says "Nobody picked for this takes bookings now, so it can't be booked. Pick who does it, or Everyone."
- Tap Everyone, or the person who does it now.
- Tap Done at the top right. The app says "Saved".
Next, open Bookings settings. Does the person who does this service show Needs Bookings for more? Customers cannot book them. Bookings come with the Storefront plan for one person, court or room. A trip with seats also needs Bookings for more.
For more, the owner can add Bookings for more. It is an add-on. You can see its price in the add-on store. You may also see Pick who takes bookings under the list. Tap it to choose who takes new bookings. See Bookings for more.
Last, does the service have Extras with Customers must pick on? Extras are not offered when customers book. So a service with a group customers must pick from says Message to book. In the service's sheet:
- Tap Extras. A panel called Extras opens.
- Tap the group.
- Tap the Customers must pick switch to turn it off.
- Tap Done at the top right. You are back in Extras.
- Tap Done again. The app says "Saved".
For a choice customers must make, use sizes instead. See Let customers add extras.
My services say Book at the shop
Your page has no way to message you. So customers see "Book at the shop", with no button. Add your WhatsApp, Viber, a social link or a phone number. Only the owner can do this.
- Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
- Under Contact, tap Contact & social links. A sheet called Contact opens.
Then follow Add your phone, WhatsApp, Viber and social links. Your services then say Message to book, or Book when customers can book online.
A service says Not available
The service is set to Sold out. Customers can see it, but cannot book it.
- Tap Services in the bar at the bottom. If your shop also sells products, it says Items.
- Tap the Sold out button on the right of the service's row. A small menu opens.
- Tap Shown.
A service set to Hidden does not show on your page at all. See Mark an item sold out or hide it.
My page has no Book a time part
Your page lists a service only when it has Booking on and is not hidden. With none, Book a time does not show. See Make a service bookable.
Customers find no free times
When customers tap Book, a sheet opens with days and times. A day can say "Full", "Closed" or "Off". Or the sheet says "Nothing is free on these days." with Later dates.
- "Closed", with your shop name and "is closed this day.": nobody who does this service works that day.
- "Off", with a name and "is off this day.", like "Liya is off this day.": that person does not work that day.
To check someone's hours:
- Open Bookings settings.
- Under Who gets booked, tap the person, court or room. A sheet with their hours opens.
- Tap the day to change. It opens under its row.
- If it is a day off, turn on its switch.
- Tap the From box and pick the start time.
- Tap the To box and pick the end time.
- Tap Save hours.
Every setting on that sheet is in Add who gets booked. Did you block time off on your calendar? Customers cannot book inside it. See Block time off.
"Full", with "Nothing fits this day. Try the next one.", means no time fits that day. The times are taken, or too close to now. Customers cannot book a time sooner than Earliest they can book. When you start, it says "1 hour from now". To let them book sooner:
- Open the Booking online sheet, as in the problem above.
- Tap Earliest they can book. The choices open under it.
- Tap a shorter time, like 30 min.
- Tap Save.
Customers can only pick days up to Furthest ahead, in the same sheet. See Choose how customers book online.
On a service with set start times, a start may say "Prayer". This comes from Pause at prayer times on that person's or court's sheet. See Add who gets booked.
A customer sees "It's too close to the start to ask"
This is for a service that says Ask. The customer asked for a time that is too close, so you would have no time to answer. The checkout says "It's too close to the start to ask." Then it asks them to message your shop to book.
Answer their message. If the time is free, add the booking yourself. See Add a booking or a walk-in.
For a quick service, you can let customers book straight away. In its Booking panel, under Your OK before it's booked, tap Never. Then tap Done. See Make a service bookable.
A customer's time went while they were booking
When a customer picks a time, it is kept for them while they finish. The Book sheet tells them how long: "We keep it 15 minutes while you pay." At the booking checkout, they may see:
- "Your 15 minutes are up. Hold the time again before you pay, while it's free." They tap Hold it again.
- The time went, like "15:45 went while you were away. Nothing was charged." The nearest free times may show under it. They tap one to hold it. Or they tap Pick a time.
- "This time isn't held for you any more. Pick a time again. Nothing was charged." They tap Pick a time.
- "This time can't be booked any more. Pick a time again." The person, court or room they picked does not take bookings now. Check Who gets booked in Bookings settings.
The booking checkout says customers can't book online right now
The customer was booking when something changed. The checkout shows your shop name and "isn't taking bookings online right now", with "Nothing was charged. Message them to book a time." For example, you turned off Booking online.
It can name the service instead, with "can't be booked online right now". For example, you set the service to Sold out. Or nobody who does it takes bookings now.
Fix the reason, using the problems above. Then answer their message.
Customers can't pay the deposit
You ask for a deposit, but your shop has no bank account and no PayPal. At the booking checkout, customers see your shop name and "asks for a deposit to book, but hasn't added a way to pay online". The button at the bottom says Back to the shop.
The owner can add a bank account or PayPal. See Add your bank account, PayPal and cash on delivery. Or tap None under Deposit to book in the Booking online sheet, then Save. Customers then pay at the visit.
A customer can't pay on their booking page
A booking you added, or a request you said yes to, has its own page. The customer pays the deposit there. Sometimes the pay box is gone, and a line asks them to message you. For example: "It's too close to the time to pay here." See Your customer's booking page.
I paused orders, but customers can still book
Pausing orders does not stop bookings. Neither do your opening hours. Your page may say "Not accepting orders right now. Browse the menu and come back later." But the Book and Ask buttons still work.
To stop new online bookings:
- Open the Booking online sheet, as in the problems above.
- Tap the Customers book online switch. It turns grey.
- Tap Save.
The app says "Online booking is off. Bookings already made stay." Customers then see Message to book. For orders, see Customers can't order.
Tip
After you fix something, open View storefront again. Tap Book on a service and look at the free times. Do not tap the big button at the bottom of that sheet. It holds the time for real, as for a customer. In your free trial, the owner can try every step with Try your booking page in Settings. Nothing is booked, and nobody is told. If a service shows Message to book there, a line under your services says why. See Try your booking page.
