What it is

Customers use these buttons to ask you questions before they order. Eveyla also keeps your own private number, for order alerts and help. On a Storefront, you choose which ways customers see. On a free listing, you set one number that customers message.

Find it

  1. Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Under Contact, tap Contact & social links.

A sheet called Contact opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.)

Under the row, you see what customers see now, like "Shows: WhatsApp · Call · Instagram". In a new shop, it says "Nothing shown to customers" until you switch something on.

On a free listing, the row is called Phone, WhatsApp & Viber. See Phone, WhatsApp & Viber below.

On a computer, Settings is in the bar on the left.

Every setting

At the top, the sheet says: "Your Eveyla number stays private. Customers see only the channels you switch on below."

To set it up:

  1. Check your number in the Eveyla number box at the top.
  2. If customers may phone you, tap the switch on the right of Call button. It turns green.
  3. Tap the switch on the right of WhatsApp. It turns green.
  4. Leave Same as my Eveyla number ticked if customers can message you on that number.
  5. If you use Viber, tap the switch on the right of Viber.
  6. Lower down, under Social links, type your usernames.
  7. Check the Customers will see box at the bottom.
  8. Tap Save at the bottom.

Your number for Eveyla

This box has a lock. It says "Private. Order alerts and support only". Inside it is a box called Eveyla number · required. It starts with the number you gave when you opened your shop. To change it, type +960, then your 7-digit phone number.

The app says: "Can be a personal number. Customers never see it, unless you let them call it below."

Call button

In a new shop, the switch is off. Under it, the app says "No Call button on your shop page". When you switch it on, it says "Customers can call" and the number.

When it is on, Same as my Eveyla number is ticked. To give customers a different number, untick it. Then type the number in Number customers call.

Customers see

a Call button.

WhatsApp

In a new shop, the switch is off. Under it, the app says "Hidden from customers". When it is on, it says "Shown on your shop page".

Same as my Eveyla number is ticked when you start. To use a different number, untick it. Then type the number in WhatsApp number.

Customers see

a WhatsApp button that opens a chat with you.

Viber

This works like WhatsApp. To use a different number, untick Same as my Eveyla number. Then type it in Viber number.

Customers see

a Viber button.

You may switch off Call button, WhatsApp or Viber and save. Then the app forgets the different number you typed for it. When you switch it back on, Same as my Eveyla number is ticked again.

There are four boxes: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Telegram. Type your username, or paste the link to your page. The app says: "Paste a link or type the username, we tidy it up. Filled links show as buttons in your shop's contact card." Leave a box empty if you do not use it.

Customers see

round Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Telegram buttons that open your pages.

Customers will see

This box at the bottom shows a small label for each way customers can reach you. For example: WhatsApp, Call and Instagram. If nothing is on, a yellow box says: "Customers will have no way to contact you. Orders still come through as usual. Switch on one channel or add a social link."

Customers see

a contact card at the bottom of your shop page, on the Market and Feast looks. It has your logo, name, island and buttons. Under the buttons are one of your numbers and today's hours, like "09:00 to 22:00".

On the Shelf look, the buttons are at the top, under your shop name. On the Market look, the bar at the top of the page can also show a small WhatsApp button. It is a Viber button when WhatsApp is off.

Customers see

a Can't find what you want? button. Under it, it says "Ask Aisha's Cakes if they have it", with your shop name.

Tapping it opens a sheet called "Ask Aisha's Cakes". A message is ready to finish, like "Hi Aisha's Cakes, do you have". With WhatsApp on, customers tap Send on WhatsApp. Without WhatsApp, they tap Copy and open Viber (or Instagram, and so on). Then they paste the message. With Call on, they also see Call the shop.

The same sheet opens when customers tap Ask about this item on an item. Customers only see these ask buttons when at least one way to reach you is on.

After customers order, their order page shows the Call, WhatsApp and Viber buttons you switched on. Social links show only on your shop page.

Phone, WhatsApp & Viber

This is what a free listing has instead. The sheet is also called Contact.

  1. Type your number in Contact number. Under it, the app says: "We'll use this for WhatsApp & Viber too, untick to change."
  2. If your WhatsApp is on a different number, untick WhatsApp · same as contact number.
  3. Type that number in WhatsApp number.
  4. If your Viber is on a different number, untick Viber · same as contact number.
  5. Type that number in Viber number.
  6. Tap Save.

Your contact number is also the number Eveyla uses to reach you. Social links and the Call button need a Storefront.

Customers see

big WhatsApp and Viber buttons at the bottom of your listing page. Their message lists the items they picked. With no WhatsApp or Viber, the button says Message (SMS). See Free listing and Storefront.

Email

Under Contact, Email shows the email you sign in with. You cannot change it here. If you need a different email, ask Eveyla. See Contact Eveyla.

Who can use it

Only the owner can change contact details. Team members do not see Settings.

The free listing has Phone, WhatsApp & Viber. Choosing what customers see, the Call button and social links need a Storefront.

Common mistakes

The row says "Nothing shown to customers"

In a new shop, every switch is off. Tap Contact & social links. Switch on WhatsApp, Viber or Call button, or add a social link. Then tap Save.

A red message is about a number

Each message says which number to fix:

  • "Add your number for Eveyla. We need it to reach you." Your number is missing. Type it after +960. On a free listing, the message says "Add your contact number. Eveyla needs it to reach you."
  • "Enter your Eveyla number in international format." This means the number does not look right. Check that it is +960, then your 7-digit phone number. On a free listing, it can say contact number, WhatsApp number or Viber number. For WhatsApp or Viber, you can also tick the box again.
  • "Add the WhatsApp number, or tick Same as my Eveyla number." You unticked the box but left the number empty. Type the number, or tick the box again. The same message can show for Viber and for the number customers call.

A red message says "That Instagram username does not look right."

Type only your username, like aishacakes, with no spaces. Or paste the link to your page. The same message can show for TikTok, Facebook and Telegram.

My free listing shows a Viber button, but I do not use Viber

  1. Tap Phone, WhatsApp & Viber.
  2. Untick Viber · same as contact number.
  3. Delete the number in Viber number, so only +960 is left.
  4. Tap Save.

Tip

Switch on WhatsApp if you can. When customers tap Can't find what you want?, their question opens in WhatsApp already written. With Viber or a social page, they must paste it first.
