What it is

Bookings come with your Storefront plan. They close in two cases. Your free trial ends before you pay. Or your plan stops because your Eveyla bill was not paid in time. Then your shop shows as a free listing, and nobody can make a new booking.

Bookings you already have stay in your calendar. You serve them and take payment as usual. Your setup is kept too: who gets booked, their hours, your services, your page and your link. When you pay, bookings open again.

Find it

What you see first depends on whether you still have bookings coming.

If bookings are still coming, the bar at the bottom shows Bookings and Settings. This is the same in a shop that sells.

  1. Tap Bookings in the bar at the bottom.
  2. If Calendar is not picked at the top, tap Calendar. Your calendar opens.
  3. To see the card about your plan, tap Orders at the top. Only the owner sees the card.

If nothing is booked ahead, the bar shows Home and Settings. After a trial, this is always so, because nothing is booked in a trial.

  1. Tap Home in the bar at the bottom. If you are the owner, the card is at the top.

On a computer, the tabs are in the bar on the left.

Every setting

The red strip at the top

While bookings are still coming, the owner sees a red strip at the top of every screen, except Billing. It says when your plan ended, like "Your plan ended on 12 Oct".

Tap Pay my bill at the right end of the strip. Billing opens. The link also shows how much you pay.

Your calendar

Your calendar keeps every booking that is coming. Tap a booking to open it, as usual.

Free time is striped. It says Closed to new bookings.

Try to add a booking, a walk-in or time off. A sheet called New bookings are closed opens instead. If you are the owner, a senior manager or a manager, tapping a striped free time opens it too. Nothing is written down.

New bookings are closed

This sheet says why you cannot add a booking, and what stays. For example: "Your plan ended on 12 Oct, so nothing new can be written down. Your 3 coming bookings stay: serve them, take payment and mark them done as usual."

A box called Pay to take bookings again shows how much you pay.

  • The owner sees Pay my bill. Tap it to open Billing. Tap Not now to close the sheet.
  • Team members see "The owner pays the bill, from Billing." and OK.

What still works

For the bookings that are coming, you can still:

A booking stays with the same person. You can move it to another time, but not to someone else.

Customers see

their booking on their booking page, as before. Cancelling works as before. They cannot pick a new time or pay there. The page asks them to message you. See Your customer's booking page.

Your trial has ended or Your plan has ended

This card is for the owner. It is on Home, or under Orders at the top of Bookings while bookings are still coming. After a trial, the title says "Your trial has ended". After your plan stops, it says "Your plan has ended".

Under the title, it says your shop "shows as a free listing. Customers see your services and message you to book."

The lines under it say what is kept:

  • who gets booked, their hours and how many services, like "Kept: Shaha, their hours and 3 services"
  • "Kept: your page and your link"
  • "No bookings, by hand or online". While bookings are still coming, it says "No new bookings, by hand or online".

Then two buttons:

  • Pay my plan after a trial, or Pay my bill after your plan stops. It also shows how much you pay. Tap it to open Billing.
  • See what customers see. Tap it to open your shop page in a new tab.
Customers see

your shop as a free listing. It shows up to 5 of your services, with their prices. Buttons at the bottom let them message you, for example on WhatsApp or Viber. There is no Book button.

Open bookings again

  1. Tap Pay my bill on the card or on the red strip. After a trial, tap Pay my plan on the card. Billing opens.
  2. Pay your bill. Every step is in Pay your Eveyla bill.

After you tap Next: pay, a green note says: "Bookings open as soon as it's paid. By transfer, they open when your slip is checked, usually the same day."

While Eveyla checks your slip, a box called Payment under review shows in place of the card. When your payment is checked, bookings open again. Customers can book on your page again when Booking online is on. See Choose how customers book online.

Who can use it

Everyone in your team sees the calendar while bookings are coming, and can serve those bookings. As usual, only the owner, senior managers and managers can move or cancel a booking.

Only the owner sees the red strip and the card, and only the owner can pay. Team members see "The owner pays the bill, from Billing." on the sheet.

Bookings need a Storefront. They come with the Storefront plan for one person, court or room. For more, Bookings for more is an add-on. You can see its price in the add-on store. See Bookings for more.

Common mistakes

A free time says Closed to new bookings

There are two reasons:

  • Your plan has stopped. The owner sees a red strip at the top. Tapping the time opens New bookings are closed. Pay your bill to open bookings again.
  • Your plan is paid, but this person does not take new bookings. Without Bookings for more, one person, court or room takes bookings. Nothing happens when you tap the time. See Bookings for more.

It says "New bookings are closed, so this request can't be booked. Decline it, or pay your bill to take bookings"

A customer asked for a time before your plan stopped. You cannot say yes now. Tap Decline. Or pay your bill first, then answer the request. See Answer a booking request.

It says "New bookings are closed, so Liya can't take this booking. Pay your bill to take bookings"

You tried to move a booking to someone else. While bookings are closed, it must stay with the same person. Move it to another time with the same person instead.

It says "New bookings are closed, so deposits can't be paid online. Take it at the visit"

You asked for a deposit on a booking you added. Customers cannot pay online while bookings are closed. Take the deposit when the customer comes. See Ask for a deposit on a booking you added.

I paid, but bookings are still closed

Did you pay by transfer? Bookings open when Eveyla checks your slip. Until then, Billing says Checking your payment, and Payment under review shows in place of the card. The app says this is usually the same day.

Tip

Pay before your plan stops. When the strip at the top says, for example, "Storefront renews in 3 days", tap Pay now. On a yearly plan it says Renew. Then new bookings stay open.
