Your first order, step by step
Handle your first order step by step, with a short card from Grow for each step.

What it is
Every order goes the same way: you get a ping, you accept it, and you tap each step. For your first orders, Grow explains each moment once. Grow is your shop assistant in Eveyla. Its cards show for real orders and for test orders. See Place a test order.
Find it
- Tap Orders in the bar at the bottom.
- If Done is picked at the top, tap Live.
- Look under Needs you (shown in capital letters). Your new order is there, with its number in green.
Grow's card shows up by itself, next to the order. The rest of the screen goes dark, and an orange ring goes around the order card.
If order alerts are on, your phone also pings when the order comes in. See Get a ping for every new order.
On a computer, Orders is in the bar on the left. The order opens on the right side of the screen.
Every setting
The steps for a first order:
- If the customer paid by bank transfer or PayPal, check your bank app or PayPal.
- When the money is in, tap Confirm on the order card.
- Tap Accept on the order card.
- Each time the order moves on, tap the next button, like Mark on the way.
- Tap the last step, like Mark delivered. The order moves to Done.
Each step and its Grow card are explained below.
Paid by transfer
This card shows when the customer paid by bank transfer or PayPal and sent a payment slip. A payment slip is the photo of a bank transfer. Grow says: "Open the slip, then check your bank app. Tap Confirm payment only when the money is really in. Cash orders skip this."
- Tap the order card. Tap the card itself, not its button. The order page opens.
- Under Payment, read what to look for. For example: "Look for MVR 350 from Aisha in your bank app, then confirm."
- Tap the slip picture on the left. It opens in a new tab.
- Open your bank app or PayPal.
- Check that the money is really in.
- Go back to Eveyla.
- Tap Confirm MVR 350 received. The amount is your order's total.
On the order board, the Confirm button on the order card does the same thing.
Until the money is confirmed, the order card shows Confirm, not Accept. If Grow checks your slips, the button may say Check in red, or Ask for MVR 50. See Let Grow check payment slips.
Your first order
This card points at the new order. It says: "Tap Accept so Aisha knows you have it. Until then, they can't tell if you've seen it." Grow uses your customer's first name, or "your customer" if there is no name.
- Tap Accept at the bottom right of the order card.
The order moves to In progress. You can also open the order and tap Accept order under Status.
Customers seetheir order page changes to "Packing now". For food shops, it says "In the kitchen".
Tap each step as it happens
This card points at the order while you work on it. It says: "Preparing, on the way, delivered. Aisha sees every step live, so they won't need to message you to ask."
- When the order leaves your shop, tap Mark on the way on the order card.
- When the customer has it, tap Mark delivered.
The button always names the next step. Food shops can have one more step, like Mark ready. For pickup orders, the last step is Mark collected. For dine-in orders, it is Mark done. For every step, see Accept an order and move it along.
On the order page, the same green button says Mark as on the way. Dots above it show every step. The steps done so far are green.
Customers seeeach step on their order page. For example, "Almost yours" when it is on the way. Then "Enjoy, Aisha" when it is delivered. Pickup orders show "Come collect". See What customers see after they order.
The card also says: "A test order? Open it and tap Cancel order before it's delivered, so it stays out of your sales." On the order page, the button is called Cancel. Cancel order is in the box that opens next. See Place a test order.
First order done
This card shows after you mark the order delivered. It says: "Every order works like this: ping, accept, tap each step. Finished orders move to Done, where you can find them any time."
This card covers the whole screen. Tap Got it to close it.
To see finished orders, tap Done at the top of the order board. Today's orders are under Today.
Got it
Each card has a Got it button. Tap it to close the card.
- While a card points at your order, you can still tap the order card and its button.
- After you tap Got it, that card does not show again for you.
- The cards have no Skip tips button. They show even if you turned off Grow's tips. The app says: "Your first-order guide still shows, because it matters."
Who can use it
Everyone in the team can accept an order, confirm a payment and tap each step. Grow's cards show for each person who is new to Eveyla.
Taking orders online needs a Storefront.
Common mistakes
The order card shows Confirm, not Accept
The customer paid by bank transfer or PayPal. Check your bank app or PayPal first. Tap Confirm only when the money is really in. Then Accept shows. See Check a payment slip and confirm payment.
The money is not in my bank app
Do not tap Confirm. On the order page, look under the Confirm MVR 350 received button. Tap Ask the buyer. WhatsApp opens with a message. It asks the customer to check and send the slip again.
I tapped a step too early
Open the order. Under the green button, tap the small link that names the step before, like Back to preparing. If the order is already delivered, tap Undo, back to on the way under Delivered. See Accept an order and move it along.
My order is not on the order board
When an order is delivered or cancelled, it moves to Done. Tap Done to find it.
If an open order is missing from Live, a filter may be on. To clear it:
- Tap Done at the top.
- Tap the funnel button on the right. It has no words, only a funnel picture (a cone, wide at the top).
- Tap All. The menu closes.
- Tap the funnel button again.
- Tap All time.
- Tap Live.
See Find an old order.
Grow's card did not show
Each card shows only once for each person. If you tapped Got it on it during a test order, it does not show again. Grow's cards are also only for people new to Eveyla. The steps are the same for every order.
Tip
Tap each step at the moment it happens, not all at the end. Your customer sees each step on their order page. Then they do not need to message you to ask.
