Your first minutes in the app

How do you want to start?

This page opens by itself after you tap Start free trial. See Open your shop.

Grow, the green figure, says "Hi, I'm Grow. Your shop is open." Grow is your shop assistant in Eveyla. Under the title is your shop link, like shop.eveyla.com/aisha⁠-⁠cakes.

Tap one of the two cards:

• Add my first item: "A name and a price. Takes a minute." Go to Add your first item, below.
• Show me around first: "See what Eveyla can do. Add items later." Go to What brought you to Eveyla?, below.

You can do the other one any time. If you close Eveyla on this page, it opens again next time.

Add your first item

1. Tap Add my first item. A page called Your first item opens.
2. Type what you sell in the Name box. For example, Chicken fried rice.
3. Type the price in the Price box. For example, 25. MVR is already there.
4. For a photo, tap Add photo on the left. This is optional.
5. Tap Put it on the shelf.

The page This is your shop opens. See This is your shop, below.

Customers see

your item on your shop page right away, with its name, price and photo.

The page says "Photos, sizes and stock can come later, from Items." See Change an item's name, photos, price or details.

To go back, tap Back at the bottom. If you came from your order board, it takes you back there.

Add items from photos

You can add many items from photos instead. Grow reads each photo and writes the names. You add the prices.

1. On Your first item, tap Snap a menu or price list instead.
2. Take a photo, or pick photos from your phone. Use one photo for each item, or one photo of your menu or price list.
3. Wait while Grow reads them. The page says Reading your 3 photos. Each photo says "Read" when it is done.

Add prices

You see one item at a time, with its photo. At the top, it says "1 of 3".

1. Check the Name. Fix it if Grow got it wrong.
2. Type the price in the Price box.
3. Tap Put it on the shelf. The next item shows.

With more than one item waiting, you can tap Same price for all 3. A box called One price for all 3 shows. Type the price. Then tap Save all.

To leave an item out, tap Not selling this. It does not go on your shop.

Check the names and prices

Grow says something like "That was a whole price list. I found 12 items." Each item has a name, a price box and a bin button (a small rubbish bin).

1. Fix any name that is wrong.
2. Type a price in each orange box, like 15 or 12.50. Orange means the price is empty or not right.
3. To leave an item out, tap the bin next to it.
4. Tap Put all 12 on the shelf.

If some items have no price, the button says Put 9 on the shelf. The app says "3 without a price stay here until you add one." Next, they show on Add prices, one at a time.

These items have no photos yet. You can add photos later from Items.

Your shelf

Your shelf is the list of things you sell. After the prices, you see it. The title says "Fill your shelf" when it is empty. Then it counts your items, like "2 on your shelf". With 6 or more, it says "Your shelf is full".

The Your shelf box has 6 spaces. At its top right, it says "2 of 6", for example. Items with a green tick are on your shop. Faded items say "Needs a price". To add a photo, you can also tap the green space with a camera. When items need a price, an orange bar says "2 items need a price". Tap Add prices on it.

At the bottom:

• Add another photo: pick more photos. On an empty shelf, it says Add photos.
• Type it in instead: opens the Add an item sheet. A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.
• Continue with 2 items: opens This is your shop. With no items, it says "Add at least 1 item to continue".
• Set up later: shows only on an empty shelf. It opens your order board.

If you close Eveyla before any item is on your shelf, your photos wait on this phone. Next time, Grow says "Welcome back. Your 3 photos are still here."

On a computer, the shelf also shows a QR code (a square code that a phone camera can read). It says "Photos are on your phone?" Scan it with your phone camera to carry on there. Items you save show up on both.

Add an item

1. Tap Type it in instead. The Add an item sheet slides up.
2. Type the Name.
3. Type the Price.
4. For a photo, tap Add photo. This is optional.
5. Tap Put it on the shelf.

To close the sheet without saving, tap the X at the top right.

Your shelf is ready

When your 6th item is on the shelf, you see "Your shelf is ready". Tap See my shop. Or tap Add more photos to keep going. You can add as many items as you like later, from Items.

What brought you to Eveyla?

Grow asks this so it starts you in the right place.

1. Tap Show me around first.
2. Tap the answer that fits you best. A green tick shows next to it.
3. Tap Continue. It stays grey until you pick an answer.

Where each answer takes you:

• Take orders online: your order board. Grow's card "Start here" points at the box "First, add what you sell". Tap Got it. Grow's tour starts (see Grow's tour, below). After the tour, tap Add items in that box. Your first item opens.
• Keep a credit book: your credit book, on the Credit tab in Insights. Grow's card says "This is your credit book". Tap Got it. See Keep a credit book.
• Sell at my counter: the Counter, on the POS tab. Eveyla turns the Counter on for you. Grow's card "This is your Counter" says to tap + Custom to sell any amount. Tap Got it. See Make a sale at the Counter.
• Just looking around: your order board. Grow's tour starts.

This is your shop

This page shows a picture of your shop on a phone. It has your shop name, your link and up to 6 items with prices. It says "What customers see when they open your link."

• Show me around: opens your order board and starts Grow's tour. If you have seen the tour before, it says Go to my dashboard.
• Open my shop: opens your real shop page in a new tab. To carry on, go back to the Eveyla tab.

Grow's tour

The tour is 4 cards on your order board. Each card points at one part of the app.

1. Orders: "Every order lands here". New orders wait here.
2. Items: "Your shelf lives here". Change a price, add photos, or mark an item sold out.
3. The small QR code button at the top right: "Your link and QR code". This is how customers find you.
4. Settings: "Set these once". Delivery, how customers pay you, and order alerts.

Tap Next on each card.

The last card says "One last thing". Tap one of its buttons:

• Share my link: opens Share your shop. See Share your shop link and QR code.
• Place a test order first: opens your shop page so you can order like a customer. See Place a test order.

Did you start on the credit book or the Counter? Then the tour starts the first time you tap Orders. On a computer, the cards point at the bar on the left.

To stop the tour, tap Skip tips. Grow asks "Turn off all tips?" Tap Turn off tips to stop all of Grow's tips. Or tap Keep showing tips to go on with the tour. See Tips and the tour.
