What it is
These settings are inside the I deliver to them card on the Delivery sheet. You choose where you deliver and what you charge. You can also ask for a minimum order, and give free delivery on big orders. Customers see your fee before they order.
Find it
- Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
- Scroll down to Delivery & payments.
- Tap Delivery. A sheet called Delivery opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.)
- Find the first card, I deliver to them.
- If it has no green tick, tap it. The card opens.
On a computer, Settings is in the bar on the left.
To turn delivery on or off, see Choose how customers get their order.
Every setting
Change what you need, then tap Save at the bottom of the sheet. The sheet closes. The grey line under Delivery now starts with your fee and your minimum, like "MVR 30 · min MVR 100".
Where do you deliver?
Tap one of three buttons. The one you pick gets a tick.
- My island (picked when you start): you deliver only on your own island. Under the buttons, the app says "Delivers within" and your island name. Your island comes from Location. If you change it there, your delivery island changes too. If you have no island yet, the app says "Add your island in Location settings so customers see where you deliver." See Set your island and address.
- Some islands: you deliver to the islands you pick in Islands you deliver to, lower down.
- All islands: you deliver to every island in the Maldives, with one fee.
If you change to My island or All islands and tap Save, your island list is cleared. So are the fees for each island.
Customers seewith My island, your island is already filled in at checkout. Checkout is the last page, where customers place the order. With Some islands, they pick their island from your list. If your list has one island, it is already filled in. With All islands, they search all islands, or tap "Not listed. Type it in".
When a customer types a place that is not in the list, checkout says: "Standard delivery fee applies. The shop will confirm the boat and any extra cost before it goes out." Call them to plan how the order gets there.
Your shop page also shows where you deliver and your fees. If you deliver to many islands, customers can search for theirs there. See What customers see on your shop page.
Delivery fee (MVR)
Type what you charge for delivery. For example, 30 means MVR 30. Type 0, or leave it empty, for free delivery. A new shop starts at 0.
With Some islands, the box is called Default delivery fee (MVR). Under it, the app says "Used for islands without their own fee."
Customers seethe fee on the Delivery choice at checkout, like "MVR 30", or "Free". Their basket also shows a Delivery line with the fee, and checkout adds it to the total. See How customers order from you.
Min order (MVR)
This is the least a customer must spend to order. It is next to the delivery fee. 0 means there is no minimum. A new shop starts at 0.
The minimum counts for every order, pickup too. To let small orders be picked up, use the next switch.
Customers seea bar under their items in the basket, like "Add MVR 50 more to reach the MVR 200 minimum". The button at the bottom says "Add MVR 50 more". They cannot check out until they reach it.
Next to it, customers can tap See items. It takes them to a row of your items, with a title like "Any of these gets you there".
Below the minimum, allow pickup
This switch shows only when They collect from me is on and Min order (MVR) is more than 0. For example, with a minimum of MVR 200:
- Off: the app says "Orders under MVR 200 are not accepted."
- On: the app says "Orders under MVR 200 can be picked up. Delivery needs MVR 200 or more."
When it is on, the grey line under Delivery says "delivery from MVR 200" instead of "min MVR 200".
Customers seewith a small basket, "Add MVR 50 more to get it delivered", and a button "Check out for pickup". At checkout, Delivery is grey and says "From MVR 200". A note says "Delivery starts at MVR 200. Add MVR 50 more, or pick up."
Your shop page also tells customers that small orders are pickup only. See What customers see on your shop page. To set up pickup, see Let customers pick up.
Free delivery over (MVR), optional
Orders at or above this amount get free delivery. The box shows "Leave blank for none" in grey. It starts empty, which means there is no free delivery.
Under it, the app says: "Orders at or above this amount get free delivery. The fee applies below it."
Customers seein the basket, "Add MVR 100 more for free delivery". When they reach it, "Free delivery on this order", and the old fee is crossed out. At checkout, they see "Add MVR 100 more and delivery is free."
The basket also shows a row of your items, with a title like "Get free delivery with one of these".
Islands you deliver to
This shows only when you pick Some islands. Your own island may already be here, as a green label. Keep it if you deliver there.
- Tap Add islands you deliver to. If an island is already here, this button says Add or remove islands. A list of islands opens under it.
- Type an island or atoll name in the Search island or atoll box.
- Tap each island you deliver to. A tick shows in its small box.
- Tap Add or remove islands to close the list.
The islands you picked show as green labels above the button. To take one off, tap the small x on its label. If nothing matches your search, the list says "No islands match".
Keep at least one island in the list.
Customers seeonly these islands. At checkout, with two or more islands, they pick theirs from a list that shows each fee, like "K. Maafushi, MVR 30".
Charge a different fee for some islands
This shows only with Some islands, after you add an island. Use it when some islands cost more, or less, to reach.
- If your islands are not showing under it, tap Charge a different fee for some islands. Each of your islands shows, with a Fee (MVR) box next to it.
- Type a fee next to each island that costs something different.
- Leave the other boxes empty. The app says "Leave blank to charge the default fee (MVR 30)."
Under the title, it says "All islands use the default fee", or a count like "2 islands with a custom fee".
Customers seeeach island's own fee when they pick their island. Before they pick, the Delivery choice at checkout says "From MVR 20". In the basket, they must pick their island first. If they do not, they see "Pick your island first. It sets the delivery fee and your total."
Who can use it
Only the owner can set delivery areas and fees. Team members do not see Settings.
It needs a Storefront. It is not part of the free listing.
Common mistakes
A red message says "Free delivery threshold must be more than 0."
You typed 0 in Free delivery over (MVR), optional. For no free delivery, leave the box empty. Then tap Save.
The same red box can say "Delivery fee must be 0 or more." It can also say "Minimum order must be 0 or more." Type a number with no minus sign, like 30.
Customers on my own island cannot pick it
You use Some islands, and your own island was taken off the list. Tap Add or remove islands. Tap your island so it gets a tick. Then tap Save.
My fees for each island are gone
Fees for each island only work with Some islands. If you tapped My island or All islands and saved, your islands and fees were cleared. Tap Some islands. Add your islands and fees again. Tap Save.
Small orders cannot check out
Your Min order (MVR) counts for every order. You can lower it. Or let small orders be picked up. Turn on They collect from me. Then turn on Below the minimum, allow pickup, and tap Save.
My order board says "Buyers cannot receive orders yet"
Tap Fix now under the message. If the Shop location sheet opens, My island needs your island. Pick it in Your island. Then tap Save location. If the Delivery sheet opens and you use Some islands, add at least one island. Then tap Save.
Tip
Set Free delivery over (MVR), optional a little above what most customers spend. Their basket shows how much more they need to add for free delivery.
