When the internet drops at the Counter
Keep selling at the Counter when your internet stops working.

What it is
The internet can drop in the middle of a busy day. The Counter (the POS tab) keeps working. Cash, card and transfer sales are saved on your phone. When the internet comes back, the Counter sends them to Eveyla by itself. Then they show in your orders and reports, like any other Counter sale.
Find it
There is nothing to switch on. But the Counter must be open before the internet drops.
- While you have internet, tap POS in the bar at the bottom. The Counter opens.
- Keep the Counter open.
Eveyla does not open with no internet. If you close the app, wait for the internet to come back. Then open it again.
If you do not see POS, see Turn on the Counter.
Every setting
To make a sale with no internet:
- Tap the items, as usual.
- Tap Charge in the green bar at the bottom.
- Tap Cash, Card or Transfer.
- For cash, tap what the customer gives you. The box on the right says Change to give.
- For cash, give the change now.
- Tap the big green button, like Confirm cash · MVR 85.
On a computer, tap Charge · MVR 85 at the bottom of the sale on the right.
The app says "Saved. Will sync when you're back online". The Counter is empty, ready for the next customer. No Sale complete sheet opens, and there is no receipt yet. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.)
For more on each way to pay, see Take cash, card, transfer or credit at the Counter.
2 syncing
The top of the Counter is green. On the right, a small label says how many sales are waiting, like "2 syncing". It has a blinking dot.
The waiting sales are only on this phone. Other phones do not see them. Keep using this phone until the label is gone.
For the rest of the green strip, see Make a sale at the Counter.
Synced ✓
When the internet is back, the Counter sends each waiting sale. For each one, the app says "Synced ✓". When all are sent, the "syncing" label is gone.
Keep the Counter open while this happens. If you went to another page, tap POS to go back to the Counter.
Sometimes a white button shows instead, like "1 sale didn't sync". The "syncing" label is then gone, but other sales may still be waiting. Keep the Counter open. See 1 sale didn't sync below.
The sale is now on your order board, under Done. To give the customer a receipt, open the sale there. Then tap Share under Receipt. See Counter receipts and fixing a sale.
What needs the internet
These cannot be saved with no internet:
- Credit. The app says "You're offline. Credit sales need a connection so the book stays right."
- a sale with a digital item, like a top-up code. The app says "Digital sales need a connection."
- Pay link. The tile is grey and says "Needs internet". If you picked it before the internet dropped, the app says "You're offline. A pay link needs a connection." See Send a pay link.
The message shows in red on the Charge sheet, and the sale is not saved. Take Cash, Card or Transfer instead, or wait for the internet.
Does your shop have the Bills and GST add-on? If you added a business customer, the sale is saved without the business. The app says "The business details need a connection. Add them from the order once it syncs." See Bills and GST: tax invoices.
Does your shop keep stock in more than one place? When you tap an item you count, the app may say "Can't check stock at Back room right now. Try again in a moment." The item is not added. Try again when the internet is back. See Keep stock in more than one place.
1 sale didn't sync
Sometimes Eveyla cannot accept a saved sale. For example, an item in it was deleted. The app says something like "Sale for MVR 85 didn't sync. Tap to fix it." The top of the Counter also shows a white button, like "1 sale didn't sync". Tap Open on the message, or tap the white button. See A Counter sale didn't sync.
Who can use it
Everyone who uses the Counter can sell with no internet. This means the owner, senior managers, managers and staff.
The Counter needs a Storefront. It is not part of the free listing.
Common mistakes
Eveyla will not open with no internet
The app needs the internet to open. Next time, open the Counter while you still have internet, and keep it open. For now, wait until the internet is back.
It says You're offline. Credit sales need a connection so the book stays right.
Credit needs the internet. Tap Cash, Card or Transfer instead. Or wait until your phone is back online.
The Receipt row shows an older sale
A sale saved with no internet has no receipt on the Counter. The row under the search box still shows your last sale made with internet. After the app says "Synced ✓", open the sale in Orders to get its receipt.
My sale is not in Orders
It is still waiting on the phone that made it. On that phone, tap POS while you have internet. Keep the Counter open until the app says "Synced ✓". Then the sale is in Done.
Tip
When you sell with no internet, ask customers who want a receipt for their WhatsApp number. Once the sale says "Synced ✓", find it in Orders and send the receipt with Share.
