What it is
Your island shows next to your shop name and in the Eveyla shop list. Your address and Maps pin help customers who come to collect or visit.
Find it
- Tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
- In the Storefront group near the top, tap Location. It shows your island and address, or "Add your island and address".
A sheet called Shop location opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.) At the top, a blue note says: "Shown on your shop page so customers can find you and get directions."
On a free listing, the group is called Your listing.
On a computer, Settings is in the bar on the left.
Every setting
Fill in what you need, then tap Save location at the bottom. The sheet closes. The Location row now shows your island and address.
Your island
The box says "Select your island" until you pick one.
- Tap the Your island box. A list opens under it.
- Type your island in the Search island or atoll box. For example, Maafushi.
- Tap your island. The list closes.
The box now shows your island with its atoll letters, like "K. Maafushi". Islands in the Malé area, like Malé and Hulhumalé, show without letters.
Islands are grouped by atoll, like "Kaafu · K". You can type an atoll name to see all its islands. If nothing matches, the list says No islands match, followed by what you typed. When you open the list again, your island has a tick.
Customers seeyour island next to your shop name, on your shop page and in the Eveyla shop list.
Do you deliver only on your own island (My island in Delivery)? Then a new island also becomes your delivery island. See Set where you deliver and your fees.
Legacy
Sometimes the island box shows your island with a small grey label, Legacy (in capital letters). Under it, the app says: "Your saved island isn't in the new list. Pick the closest match to update it." This means your island was saved with a name that is not in Eveyla's island list.
- Tap the Your island box.
- Search for your island.
- Tap your island, or the closest one.
- Tap Save location.
The label goes away. Customers now see the island name from the list.
The same label can show in the Island box of a stock place. Pick the closest island there too, then tap Save. See Keep stock in more than one place.
It can also show in the Island box when you move your free listing to a Storefront. Pick the closest island there too.
Street or house address
Type where your shop is. The box shows "e.g. Rose Villa, Boduthakurufaanu Magu" in grey as an example. Under it, the app says: "Keep it short. Your island already shows next to your shop name." You can leave it empty.
Customers seeyour address under Location on your shop page. On the Shelf look, they tap Hours, address and delivery details. Your address is under Address.
A free listing page shows your island, but not your address.
Google Maps link (optional)
This adds a Maps button, so customers can get directions to your door.
- Open Google Maps on your phone.
- Press and hold on your shop. A pin drops there.
- Tap Share in Google Maps.
- Copy the link.
- Go back to Eveyla.
- Paste the link in the Google Maps link (optional) box.
The box shows "https://maps.app.goo.gl/…" in grey as an example. Your link must start with https://.
Customers seea Maps or Open in Maps button next to your address. It opens Google Maps at your pin.
Fill in Street or house address too. Without an address, the Maps button does not show on the Market and Feast looks.
Who can use it
Only the owner can change the island, address and Maps link. Team members do not see Settings.
It is free on both plans: the free listing and the Storefront.
Common mistakes
A red message says "Paste a full link starting with https://"
What you pasted is not a full link. Copy the link from Google Maps again and paste it. It starts with https://.
Customers do not see the Maps button
Check that Google Maps link (optional) has your link. Check that Street or house address is filled in too. Then tap Save location.
My island is not in the list
Type only part of the name, like Maafu. Or type the atoll name, like Kaafu, to see all its islands. If your place is not an island in the list, pick the closest island.
My order board says "Buyers cannot receive orders yet"
Tap Fix now under the message. If the Shop location sheet opens, Eveyla needs your island, because you deliver on your own island. Pick your island and tap Save location. If the Delivery sheet opens instead, see Choose how customers get their order.
Tip
Drop your Maps pin on your door, not in the middle of the island. Customers who come to collect will find you without calling.
