Share one item
Send one item to a customer, with its photo and price, so they can order it.
On this page
What it is
Every item has its own link. When a customer taps it, your shop page opens with that item open, ready to order. In WhatsApp and Viber, the link shows a small picture. It has the item's photo, name and price. Use it when a customer asks "Do you have this?". To share your whole shop, see Share your shop link and QR code.
Find it
- Tap Items in the bar at the bottom.
- Tap the item's name or photo, not the button on the right of its row.
- Tap the round … button at the top right, next to the X.
A small menu opens. The first three rows are for sharing.
On a computer, Items is in the bar on the left. The item opens on the right side of the screen.
Every setting
To send an item in WhatsApp:
- Tap Share with photo.
- Your phone's share menu opens. Tap WhatsApp.
- Pick the customer's chat.
- Send the message.
Copy item link
This copies the item's link. A message at the bottom says "Link copied". Now paste the link in a chat or a status.
Share with photo
This opens your phone's share menu. Pick an app, like WhatsApp or Viber. Then pick a chat. The chat shows a preview with the item's photo.
If your phone or computer has no share menu, the app copies the link instead. It says "Link copied".
See it on my shop
This opens your shop page in a new tab, with this item open. It is what customers see when they tap your link. Use it to check the photo and price before you share.
What customers see
Customers seea preview in the chat before they tap. It has a picture with the item's photo, name and price, your shop name and "Order online".
The preview's title names the item and your shop, like "Chocolate cake · Example Shop · Eveyla". Under it, the text says the price and your shop name. For example:
- "MVR 145 at Example Shop. Order online, no app needed."
- During a sale: "On sale: Now MVR 120, was MVR 145 at Example Shop. Order online, no app needed." The picture shows a "SALE" label and the old price crossed out.
- When sizes have different prices: "From MVR 100 at Example Shop. Order online, no app needed."
When customers tap the link, your shop page opens with the item open. They can pick a size or extras and add it to their basket. See What customers see on your shop page.
If the item is Sold out, the link still opens it. Customers see a note like "This item is unavailable right now." They cannot add it. If the item is Hidden or deleted, the link opens your shop page without the item. The preview shows your shop instead.
Customers can share an item too, with the share button at the top of the item.
Who can use it
The owner, senior managers and managers can share items. Staff do not see the Items tab.
Item links come with a Storefront.
Common mistakes
I do not see the … button or the share rows
The … button shows only on an item you already added. On a new item, tap Add to my shop first. The three share rows show once your shop is live. If your Storefront is not switched on yet, they are not there.
It says "Couldn't copy the link"
Your phone did not let the app copy. Tap Share with photo instead, and pick the chat. If you see the same message again, tap See it on my shop. Your shop opens in a new tab. Copy the link from the bar at the top of that tab.
The link opens my shop but not the item
The item is Hidden, or it was deleted. If it is hidden, open the item and set it to Shown. See Mark an item sold out or hide it.
Tip
Add a clear photo before you share. The photo is the first thing customers see in the chat. Without one, the picture shows a plain colour. See Change an item's name, photos, price or details.
