What it is
Grow is your shop assistant in Eveyla. In Ask Grow, you type a question, like "What sold most this week?". Grow answers from your orders, items and customers. You can also ask Grow to add stock, hide or show items, or change the order of items. Nothing changes until you tap Apply.
Each question uses Grow credits.
The Section builder has its own Ask Grow, for the look of your shop page. See Section builder: share a preview and ask Grow.
Find it
The order board is the first screen after you sign in. If you are on another page, tap Orders in the bar at the bottom.
- Tap the small green Grow tab on the left edge of the screen.
- Tap Ask Grow at the top of Grow.
On a computer, click Grow at the top of the bar on the left. Then click Ask Grow.
Opening Grow for the first time? See Meet Grow, your shop assistant.
Every setting
To ask a question:
- Tap the box at the bottom. It says "Ask, or tell Grow what to change".
- Type your question. For example: "Who bought the most this month?" The arrow on the right turns green.
- Tap the arrow.
- A sheet called Ask your shop? opens. (A sheet is a panel that covers part of the screen.) It shows the credits the question uses and how many you have.
- Tap Ask it.
- A sheet says "Finding your answer". Wait a few seconds, or tap Close, keep it running.
- Grow's answer shows on the left.
Did you tick Don't ask again for 1-credit actions before? Then steps 4 and 5 are skipped.
Your questions are on the right. Grow's answers are on the left, with the credits used and the time, like "1 credit · 14:05". Each day starts with a label, like "Today" or "Yesterday".
If a question does not work, it goes back into the box. You can send it again. If the chat says "Couldn't load your chat.", tap Try again.
Don't ask again for 1-credit actions
When a question uses 1 credit, the Ask your shop? sheet has this tick box. If you tick it, Grow stops asking first for everything that uses 1 credit. You cannot bring the sheet back in the app. Tick it only if you are sure.
Ask and Change
When the chat is empty, Grow shows ideas under two headings: Ask and Change. They show in capital letters.
Under Ask, tap What sold most this week?, Who hasn't ordered lately? or Which items have no photo?. This sends the question for you.
Under Change, tap Add stock to an item or Put best sellers first. This starts the sentence in the box for you. Finish it, like "Add stock to Chocolate cake". Then tap the arrow.
Hide sold-out items fills in the whole sentence. Tap the arrow.
Later, short ideas show above the box, like What should I restock?. Tap one to ask it.
Ask, or tell Grow what to change
This is the box at the bottom. Under it, the app says what a question uses, like "Each question uses 1 credit". A long question shows a count, like "420 of 500". When you are offline, it says "Asking needs internet."
Apply
When you ask for a change, Grow answers with a card. The card shows exactly what will change. Its top line says what kind of change it is:
- Stock: each item with "Add 10" or "Set to 20". It shows the count before and after, like 5 → 15. "Not tracked" means you do not count that item's stock.
- Hide from your shop or Show in your shop: a tick box next to each item. Untick an item to leave it as it is.
- Feature in your shop puts items first on your shop page. Stop featuring takes them off the top.
- New order in a category, like "New order in Cakes", or New order of categories. A category is a group of items. The card shows the new places. Each row says how many it sold. Tap + 2 more to see the rest.
To make the change:
- Check the card.
- Tap Apply at the bottom of the card. To hide or show items, the button says Hide it, Hide 3 items, Show it or Show 3 items.
The button says Applying while Grow works. The change costs nothing more. The card says "Included in this question".
A green box then says what Grow did. After a new order or featured items, the box also shows a small picture of your shop. Tap Open my shop to see your shop page. Did you change some items yourself in the meantime? Then it says something like "2 items changed since, so Grow left them."
Customers seethe change on your shop page. Hidden items are gone, and items show in their new order.
Not now
Not sure? Tap Not now next to Apply. The card then says "Set aside".
Undo
At the bottom of the green box, tap Undo. On the right, the app says until when, like "Undo until 18:30 today". Undo is free for 24 hours. It puts back what Grow changed.
The button says Undoing while Grow works. Then the box says what Grow put back, or "Undone".
Changes
- Tap Changes at the top of Ask Grow. A number next to it shows how many changes you can still undo.
- The What Grow changed page opens.
It lists every change from the last 30 days, from Ask Grow and from Today. Each row says when, where it came from, and the credits used. Tap Undo next to a change to put it back. A row says "Undone" after an undo, or "Undo ended" when it is too late. With no changes yet, the page says "Nothing changed yet."
The app says: "Undoing stock takes the added amount back off, so orders since then still count."
Tap the back arrow at the top left to go back to the chat.
Remembers
Grow can remember facts about your shop that do not change often, like your opening hours. It uses them in its answers, in captions for your posts, and in messages. Only you can see them.
When you tell Grow something like that, it may offer a card. It says "Grow can remember this for all its advice:". Tap Remember to keep it, or Not now. If Grow already has it, the card says "Grow already remembers this."
To see your notes:
- Tap Remembers at the top of Ask Grow. The number is how many notes Grow has.
- A sheet called What Grow remembers opens. With no notes yet, it says "Nothing yet."
To add a note:
- Tap Add a note at the bottom of the sheet.
- Type the note, like "Closed Fridays 12 to 2 pm for prayer". It can have up to 160 letters.
- Tap a label: Hours, Delivery, Payments, Products, Customers, Plans or Other. Other is picked when you start.
- Tap Add. To stop without saving, tap Cancel.
Each note shows its label. Notes saved from the chat say "You told Grow on 3 Oct". Notes you added say "You added this on 3 Oct".
- To change a note, tap it. Change the words or the label. Tap Save.
- To remove a note, tap the × next to it. To bring it back, tap Undo on the message "Removed".
The sheet counts your notes, like "3 of 20". At 20 notes, Add a note goes away. Remembering is free. To close the sheet, tap the dark part of the screen above it.
You can also open this sheet from Grow credits. Tap the credits number (✦) at the top of Grow. Then tap What Grow remembers. See Grow credits.
Earlier chats
Tap Earlier chats at the top to read old messages. The page says "Older than 7 days. Grow no longer uses these in answers." If there are more, tap Load older at the top. With no old chats, it says "No earlier chats yet". Tap the back arrow to go back.
New chat
New chat shows at the top right once you have asked something. Tap it to start an empty chat. A message says "New chat started. Earlier messages are in Earlier chats."
Who can use it
Only the shop owner. Senior managers, managers and staff do not see Grow.
Grow needs a Storefront. Each question uses Grow credits. Changes from a question, undo and notes cost nothing more.
Common mistakes
The arrow is grey
Type your whole question first. The arrow stays grey while the box is empty or too short. If it says "Asking needs internet.", connect first. Wait for Grow to finish the last answer.
I don't have enough credits
A sheet says "This needs" and the number of credits. It also says how many you have left, and shows ways to top up. See Grow credits.
It says This suggestion is more than 30 minutes old.
The app says to ask again for fresh numbers. Type your question again and tap the arrow.
There is no Undo any more
Undo works for 24 hours. After that, the row says "Undo ended". Make the change yourself on the Items page. See Find your way around the Items page.
It says Grow can remember 20 things. Remove one to add this.
Tap See what Grow remembers next to the message. Remove a note you do not need. Then tap Remember again.
Tip
Tell Grow each fact about your shop one time, like "We deliver on Fridays only". Tap Remember on the card. Grow then uses it in its answers and in the messages it writes for you.
