What it is

A sale gives one item a lower price for a while. You choose the sale price and the last day. Customers see the usual price crossed out and a "Sale" tag. After the last day, the usual price comes back by itself.

Find it

  1. Tap Items in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Tap the item's name or photo.
  3. Tap the big Price tile on the left. A panel called Price opens.
  4. Scroll down to Sale.

On a computer, Items is in the bar on the left. The item opens on the right side of the screen.

Every setting

To put an item on sale:

  1. Tap the Sale switch to turn it on. It turns green, and a Sale price box opens with a price in it.
  2. Type your sale price in the Sale price box.
  3. Under Ends, tap No end, Tonight or Pick a day.
  4. Tap Done at the top right.

For an item with one price, the Price tile now shows a pink Sale tag. It also shows the usual price crossed out and the sale price in big numbers.

Sale

The switch is off when you start. Under it, the app says "Drop the price for a while". When your sale price is right, the line shows what customers save, like "Customers save MVR 5 (10% off)".

To stop a sale early, turn off the switch and tap Done.

Sale price

This is the price customers pay during the sale. It must be lower than the item's price. Below the Ends choices, a green line says, for example: "Customers see MVR 50 crossed out and pay MVR 45."

Ends

This is the last day of the sale. You can tap:

  • No end (picked when you start): the sale runs until you turn it off.
  • Tonight: today is the last day.
  • Pick a day: choose the last day from the calendar. The button then shows the day, like "Fri 31 Oct".

With Tonight or a day, the app adds: "The usual price comes back after the last day." Under the price on the Price tile, you may see "until Fri" or "no end date".

After the last day, your Items list shows "Sale ended" next to the price. Customers pay the usual price again.

Customers see

the sale price, the usual price crossed out and a pink "Sale" tag. They see it on your shop page and when they open the item.

The Counter (the POS tab) also uses the sale price while the sale runs.

Items with sizes

If the item has sizes, the app says: "Sizes with their own price keep it during the sale." The "Sale" tag and the crossed-out price show only on items with one price.

Many items at once

To put many items on sale together, tap Select on the Items page. Pick the items, then tap Price. Tap Put on sale and pick how much off, like 20% off. See Change many items at once.

Who can use it

The owner, senior managers and managers can put items on sale. Staff do not see the Items tab.

It needs a Storefront.

Common mistakes

A red message says "The sale price must be below the price."

The sale price is 0, the same as the price, or higher. Type a lower number. You also see this if you change the item's price to the sale price or lower. Change one of the two numbers.

My Items list says "Sale ended"

The last day has passed, so customers pay the usual price. To run the sale again, open the item and tap Price. Under Ends, pick a new day. Then tap Done. If you do not want the sale any more, turn off Sale instead.

My sale stopped too early

You may have tapped Tonight. That makes today the last day. Open the item and tap Price. Under Ends, pick a later day or tap No end. Then tap Done.

Tip

Share the item's link while the sale runs. In WhatsApp and Viber, the link preview starts with the sale, like "On sale: Now MVR 45, was MVR 50". See Share one item.
